All right. I got up at 4AM today and completed reading the remaining portions of this post. I felt the enormousness and massive crowds of Glastonbury taking a toll on our initially fresh and inquisitive author.

There are a few things that make me desire going to a festival: vibe, bands, food, location, and accomodations. It was tiring to hear about all of the rain, mud, and how crowded it could be at times. I could see myself at one point literally going to buy a flag or some material large in size, then wrapping myself like a burrito and just laying on the mud for the night. It just sounded exhausting.

Then again, Blur...Jesus. That sounded like one unique performance. Yeah, they played more than just Glastonbury, but I would imagine it would be like Daft Punk playing Coachella again. A performance for them: the community that goes every year and is on their board. And all of those themed places you went to. I may have broken a 25 year cease on drugs and coked up the night to avoid loosing any time that weekend. It sounded like fun and a way to keep the night going. I could have gone to sleep at 7AM them be up by noon. Look, I'm already planning it out.

Overall, it does seem like a life changing experience. The details indicate than planning and preparations are key to making a half decent attempt at conquering this event. I would love the opportunity to hit everything and do it properly like all of the citizens of Glastonbury.

Thanks Boorns for getting the juices going for a trip I've kept considering over the past couple of years.

I can only answer for the UK...

Not really. There are some good little festivals that have stuff going on all night, but nothing on that scale.

(Over in Serbia there is EXIT. I don't think they have quite the theatrical thing going on, but I understand it's very much an overnight festival.)

Tipi is £820, so $1300, and they hold up to six people. Looks awesome, but for that price? No. I'll settle with a shitty £40 tent again.
