Pick any three songs off the album and you're in business, though my personal favorite is "Pale Blue Eyes."
My favorite song of theirs, Leaky Tunnel, isn't on YouTube, but it's on Lala:
I'm Gonna Run is pretty good. http://www.lala.com/#album/1225260573703170430
We tackled this back in the first couple of pages.
Thats why you READ A THREAD FIRST, before asking.
Suprefan, unnecessary douchery makes the internet suck. Nobody needs it.
Age of Consent is a New Order cover, but they don't do their own quiet stuff live much anymore, and I think it's a nice example of the different elements of the band being used sparingly and usefully. Richard Reed Parry is the best musician in the band by a considerable shout, IMHO
Kettles is a song that's generally overlooked because it sits on Funeral in between some total beasts that overshadow it a little. The general theory is that it's about a guy waiting for his girl to want to have kids. Speculation about how autobiographical this may be is generally discouraged.
Cold Wind is the song they did for Six Feet Under. Aside from charity stuff, it's kind of rare for them to give anybody the use of their music, but they were huge Six Feet Under fans.
I like this band a lot. I'd like other people to like them almost as much, because they make me very happy.
sigur ros - staralfur
Sigur Ros - Saeglopur (the fountain mix)
Sigur Rós - Untitled 4 (Njósnavélin)
At some point in time a man switches from "I'll have what he's having" to "I'll have what I'm having."
I would have always skipped that song without it, so it's been greatly appreciated.
Re: AF, liked the first one (cuz I like that song), but the 2nd one gave me a headache by the time it was done, and I could only listen to 46 seconds of the last. His voice is almost as bad as Bob Dylan's. I'm sorry. I'm serious though--I now have a headache.
I might try the first group of AF youtubes.
The failure is mine, not theirs.
Off to exile with me.
This is probably my favorite Grizzly Bear track (the second part is better than the first):
On A Neck, On A Spit
Arcade Fire sucks after Funeral, Sigur Ros has always sucked, Tool is boring, and i don't like amyzzz. i mean, she stood a chance, but then threw out the whole hip-hop genre and i lost faith in her. i don't even know this bitch, but god i want to smack her.
Cross-eyed and Painless
Life During Wartime
All Over The World
Welcome Home (Sanitarium)
We Share Our Mother's Health
One For You
Like A Pen
Neighborhood #2 (Lika)
The Well And The Lighthouse
Radiohead (Supre nailed it)
Sit Down. Stand Up.
Forty Six & 2
Good 'Ole Fashioned Loverboy
Somebody To Love
Supre did not remotely nail it. All great songs, but not the songs I would use to convince someone why Radiohead is awesome. The Gloaming and Sit Down, Stand Up are very much songs that you kinda have to be already down with the Radiohead style to enjoy. Keep Idioteque and replace the rest with these, just because we might as well leave out obvious ones like Planet Telex and any singles.
