Palm Springs Resorts

Anyone recommend any nice hotel resort places in Palm Springs? The woman and I are going to the Phish festival at the polo grounds. Figured we would stay an extra week and vacation in Palm Springs. Weather will be cold in Chicago after the festival . I think we could use a few extra days of sun before snow.

I have been trying to look online but there is a crazy amount of these hotel resort places. Anyone have personal experiences? Links to vacation specials? Recommend good restaurants in Palm Springs?

We are planning on renting a car with GPS. Traveling to surroundings areas is not an issue.

While on the topic....see any good specials on car rentals lately??

I agree with faxman. I'd rather be in cold Chicago then scorching hot Palm Springs. The beach would be perfect, maybe around carlsbad beach.

There are several clothing optional resorts that you and your woman would enjoy. Otherwise, San Diego or Long Beach would be good choices.

I was there around late febuary-ish. It was pretty cold I must say, but I hate the heat really bad.

If you're a Phish fan, what I recommend is that you drive the extra 2 hours and 10 minutes and drown yourself in the ocean.

Yeah, I wouldn't vacay in PS for a week. I'd go to San Diego.

I get an airline discount with most car rental places, and www.carrentals.com always beats my discount.
