EDIT: i combat this by never committing to any time, and always say, "i'll see what i can do," "let me check my calendar," I'll try!" etc etc and simply don't show up 90% because I've likely found something better to do

EDIT AGAIN: my girlfriend think the above is horrible and I should always be firm and make plans right away...yet she is the one that is a 1/2 hour to an hour late everywhere.
