I want to revise as well. The past few years have been great and my tastes have refined:

    1. Fugazi
    2. Husker Du
    3. Black Sabbath (C'mon finances!)
    4. Television
    5. Outkast

Oh yeah, so can either version of Black Flag count? Or does Rollins need to be involved.

Rollins doesn't need to be involved. I wouldn't include FLAG, as Greg Ginn was and is Black Flag in my mind. I could see many people considering FLAG as a great Black Flag show, and I'm super excited to see them, but without Ginn it's not Black Flag.

Just so happens that Black Flag exists again, so that's easily answered.

Sorry man, The Birthday Party will never happen. Rowland S. Howard kicked the bucket a few years ago, and he was an essential part of the act. I'd loved to have seen them.

Seconded, moved and voted on by the committee. That would be astounding.

I'm pretty sure they've offered a large amount of money though, and Hollis doesn't seem to have any interest in doing it. And probably, just honestly, wouldn't be able to. So much of that album was made by editing down long improvised sections painstakingly. But dear god, if it ever happened...

When I think about it, I dont really have a dying urge to see the white stripes having seen Jack White do his current live thing live which was amazing, but something about it just gets to me having plans to go to that last forum show. I wouldnt turn it down though thats for sure.

Yeah, I would put Daft Punk in the now open spot on my top 5. The energy is going to be wild when they do come back.

Boom!...Boom-boom! Since then, I've missed countless opportunities to see one of my favorite bands. Perhaps I'll remedy that one day.

    2. The Smiths - I know this probably breaks the original poster's protocol, but I'm citing past missed chances. I'd tickets to see the Smiths at Radio City Music Hall, but Little Lord Morrissey had a hangnail or something equally traumatic, so they canceled. Then the Smiths split up. The end.

    3. Radiohead - I've heard good things about these youn go-getters.

    4. David Bowie - That would be rad.

    5. The Stone Roses - it's still possible, right? Right?
    1. Fuck...

    2. It'll never happen.

    3. Nipped this one in the bud a couple times since. They're alright.

    4. It'll never happen.

    5. Thanks to Coachella for helping fulfill this one for me. I would still like to see them in the UK, though, as this set was kind of a let down.

That last Gilmour On An Island/ Darkside Of The Moon tour was incredible. Everybody but Roger (& Sid of course) was there. I went to the first show in Chicago. Afterwards I seriously contemplated sleeping in my car and trying to find a scalped ticket for the next night.

the talking heads (highly doubt this one as well)
kraftwerk (have almost seen them a few times)
    the knife (hopefully next year)
a tribe called quest (who the heck knows)

bands that would have been on my list and then amazingly happened over the last few years: desaparecidos, the specials, pulp, at the drive-in, gorillaz, godspeed you black emperor.

The White Stripes (was going to see them at ACL '07 but then they cancelled, dammit)
    Cocteau Twins
    Aphex Twin
Blur (wasn't willing to pay $300+ to see them this year)
    Daft Punk

I saw Bowie on the Area 2 tour in 2002 with Moby, Busta Rhymes, and Blue Man Group. Played a great 90-minute set.
We're here to play some Mississippi Delta Blues. We're in a horrible depression, and I gotta admit - we're starting to like it.

I would've loved to have seen Madonna back in the 90's or even when she toured for Ray of Light, but she never came to our area. Since then, her recent music has become uninteresting, when she finally played our area on the last tour I didn't bother going.

^ i guess it would be great if he could just play the songs but it sounds like he doesn't have the full rights to do it. very disappointing that some of the most inventive song writing comes from such an ugly band filled with drugs and hate.. oh well..

The US wouldn't let them in or something so they cancelled their tour a few years ago.

I remember passing on Einsturzende Neubauten because I was low on money, so I was kind of relieved they cancelled (thinking they'd come back soonish).

2013 has taken care of some major itches I needed to scratch:
    Boris
    Man or Astroman?
    Tinariwen
    Mark Kozelek
    Sun Ra Arkestra (8/4)

Hmm... off the top of my head I can only come up with Elephant 6 acts:
    Neutral Milk Hotel
    Apples in Stereo
    Circulatory System
    Elf Power
    The Gerbils
Mazxy star was nice and dreamy robightm crowd wouldn't follow no photo request. First time in the green room. Mmm free beer and wine.glad I got to see them Cruz I missed Coachella 3012
