Yay! Glad so many other people liked them. I caught most of their set, aside from the 2 minutes I missed due to going with the husband over to the Sahara to watch EDC. (More impressive on youtube.) I jetted back over to TG to finish out my night. Got some great photos...will post them later.

Throbbing Gristle was amazing. I was not expecting to actually enjoy it that much.

I also left for about a minute to see the Cube. I was not impressed and returned to throbbing gristle.

I feel truly Blessed to see Genesis and Throbbing Gristle. One the shows that brought a tear to my eye. They seemed genuinely happy to be together and playing for us, especially Gen...

Missing Throbbing Gristle is one of my great regrets of the weekend. Walked by like three times as I was rounding up stuff/people to get out of the festival and really wanted to get in there and see that set but couldn't. I know nothing about them but I clearly got some learnin' to do.
Coachella is a place beyond conventional geography, a time not measured in hours or minutes, an experience, a state of mind, an attitude, and a holy form of expression. The Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival is an annual festival put on by Goldenvoice in Indio, CA. Please don't confuse the two.

All you who missed it were FOOLS. Such a killer set. Afterwards, Zenidog, Ragepatton, Souldischarge and I went over and thanked Sleazy for the set. Then, Josh, Patrick and I saw Damien from Fucked Up walking through the tent, so we had to run over and give him a hug.

I love Throbbing Gristle, but I felt a bit disappointed and walked out

I think it was mostly cause of my headache (which went away when MBV played surprisingly, but came back and really hit me right after) and dehydration, so I couldn't really take anything else for the night. Otherwise, I may have enjoyed it

I thought Genesis adding the words "myspace, facebook, and twitter" killed Persuasion a bit. The original is so unsettling, but his delivery felt a bit cheesy

I wish I had stayed towards the end to hear What a Day and Discipline though

    Oh well

We went over just to check them out because, well, it's Throbbing Gristle - got there in time for Discipline and holy fuck it was pretty damn good. There were not many people in that tent at all - but those who were in there were jammin out.

I didn't hear that, but I was having a hard time making out some of the words. That is kind of cheesy, but the means of persuading and exploiting people have changed drastically since the creation of the internet, so I guess it makes sense that they'd address it in some way.
