I'm a fan, and I don't really get it either. I think of it as just an example of extreme niche listening -- a particular niche I enjoy, lo-fi shitgaze surfy-sunshine punk. I think he's good at what he does, but how many fans he's been gaining this year just blows me the fuck away. Everyone and their grandma is listening to Wavves all of the sudden.

I loved his first group Hella when it was a two piece then they added more members and it kinda sucked. His solo album is pretty good too. The man is a machine on the drums I saw him open for Fantomas on NYE

he never drummed for prodigy, he is a drumming prodigy. and yeah, bad choice joining that stupid band. but he does a lot of things; see El Grupo Nuevo de Omar Rodriguez Lopez and teamsleep. very good drummer, very poor taste.

I'm 100% going to this now. I went to Origami today and bought three records. I was the first person to do it. You guys should seriously take advantage of that. You get 3 records, and then a concert as an aside.

I'm completely jealous. I'd love to go to a show where I like 90% of the bands, already. I'm sure they can't stagger all the acts perfectly, but you're assuredly going to have a solid block of wonderful music to watch.
