i have worked in auto insurance for 10 years now. shop around for prices but stay with one of the larger companies-farmers, progressive, AAA, 21st Century, Hartford, etc. make sure you have sufficient limits- i recommend at least 50k PD (property damage) limits and 100k for BI (bodily injury). PM me if any questions.

also if you have a home or rent, combine with the same company and you should get a discount.

21st Century for over 14 years and so far so good! (Now, if I could just find a Health Insurance plan that was affordable!)

Me too. I pay 60 bucks a month for full coverage. I've never had an accident or anything though.

I need to get a new policy because mine will be done in January and then I have to start paying for it myself. I can't imagine I will be getting any sort of good rate. Thanks, arbitrary age rules. How about you do something about the oblivious soccer moms and aggressive 50 year old guys instead of whacking me with extra costs.

Jesus, not me. Old people are really bad at paying attention, tend to drift through lanes, and display wildly varying speeds for no obvious reason. I have almost been killed SO MANY TIMES by old people.

Still the aggro middle aged men who drive like total assholes and like to pretend they're in sports cars are the worst. They'll nearly t-bone you and then honk and flip you off even though they're the bad driver.

People here are nearly uniformly bad drivers regardless of age, but they're all really nice, friendly bad drivers. So they'll cut you off in the middle of the freeway and then turn around and smile and wave to say thanks. It's hard to get angry at that.

I have Progressive because it has been the cheapest every time I have called around for quotes. I still pay around $110 per month which is way too much, especially considering that I have never been at fault for an accident and I have an inexpensive car.

From my experience working in Rancho Mirage, which is predominately seniors, and having to drive there, I'll take an aggressive driver anyday! Atleast they know where they're going! I'd swear half the seniors driving are doing it just to see if they still can, and the other half forget where it was they were planning to go in the first place!

i think i got way ripped off for insurance. i got my license when i was 19, so already that's 3 years older than most, and it was $150/mo. i haven't gotten in a single accident and i'm gonna be 25 this year and i think mine is still over $110 right now.
