For American Express Gold Card holders, you can still obtain 3-day passes. You are limited to two tickets, at will-call. Must present Gold Card & Photo ID in your name. The price (including fees) is $567.50 per ticket. This is twice the price of normal cost (when tix were available), so AX is into the scalping business too. But then, us AX Gold card holders can afford it. Sheesh.

So if you are an AX Gold card holder, go to http://ticketmaster.com/ and search for "Desert AMX VIP Event" - don't type in Coachella.

Good thing I bought my ticket at the pre- pre-sale from dukat @ $223 (inc fees).

the only thing i'm a bit pissed off about is that the tickets are willcall only.
was hoping to get hard tickets which i could get trade downwards for regular tickets (not even seeking profit). oh well.

I'm in Australia and my wife and I missed out on tix so naturally we're pulling our hair out seeing as we've paid over $6000 for a five day trip to Cali which well, now means nothing because we can't go to Coachella for the BS eBay prices! Is it possible for any one with a Gold Amex to get us some tickets or get new VIP tix for them selves and sell us their old ones. I know this is a huge ask, but read the above again! We're desperate, this is no joke! Some one please help!

Hey--AM EX will let you choose to pay in installments--you do not have to pay it off all at once --if you want the vip tickets --do it this way!

I logged in with the phone number i found online for gold card members and was able to pull 2 tix at $560, however, i would have to p[ay with my regular amx and who knows if they'd give the tiucs up at the will call with my regular amx. PROBABLY would! Anyway, if anyone wants to know, heres the #
8004923344 it is the event password. I suspect if you show up with a amx card and it has matching #s and you have id, they'll hand over the tics bought and paid for or else they'd have to refund.

There is a separate VIP section to the left side of the main stage where they have more shade with seats. There are also different food vendors and bars with hard alcohol. Only beer and wine is sold to the general populace in the beer gardens. The VIP also has nice trailer bathrooms with shorter lines.

Overall it's really not all that great. The drinks are very expensive (around $10). You're not particularly close to the main stage, but you're on a little rise so you can see over the crowd.

Thanks so much for posting this info! I feel slightly better paying face value for VIP tickets than paying more than this for general admission tickets on eBay. (I won't be waiting around next year to buy tickets.)

This also reminded me that I could use my Amex points for a hotel, and 40,000 points got me into a Holiday Inn hotel nearby for 4 nights! Saving some money there makes me feel a bit better too.

I just got of the phone with a representative form AMEX, and she told me that the offer is open for American and International Gold/Platinum cards. The code for the platinum card is "inplatinum".
