Jimmmy2times nailed it. Well written. Give these guys a chance. There's a reason Phish is currently the most successful touring band out there. Every show sold out in minutes. Next we have 4 nites @ Red Rocks!!!

I've seen them 75 times. How many bands would you go see that many times?? Every show is different, and I've never seen a bad one.

Exactly! I'd be going more for the polo fields than for Phish. But I really would not object to seeing a show of there's again either.

I like the idea that they cover someone else's album, but I didn't really hear anything interesting at Bonnaroo while I was hanging out with people on Sunday during Phish. To be fair, I wasn't really looking towards the stage and I was over by the vendors.

Phish would be cool at the Polo Grounds if they added a couple dozen other bands.

I'm sure 90% of the board will be at Hard Haunted, anyway.

I probably would be at Hard Haunted over Phish, since I have no $$ and don't care about Phish. But a trip to the polo fields when it is not so hot would be nice.

I can't believe I'm trying to figure out what to do for Halloween already. It's not even the 4th of July. I was even preemptively lookig for Halloween costumes this morning.

I do love electronic music, but it's kind of a dime a dozen. I'm not a PHISHEAD or anything but the band is sick, unique, not somethnig you can go out and hear every weekend. You know the vibe/atmosphere is going to be off the charts fun and not just a rave.

God!! I'm so torn up as what to do. I'm still trying to pay off my huge plastic from the 8 shows I'm seein this summer. (still got Darien , Hartford and SPAC tix)

So for me to hop a plane, rent a car, (fuk-I'm gonna have to buy camping stuff) and then there's the (prob.) $200 ticket price.

But this fest is combining the 2 greatest Phish traditions. The huge Phish only multi-day concert AND the Halloween "musical costume".

Luckily as a Chef , the rest. is slow during this time of year, so getting the time off shouldn't be a prob.

    I'll just flip a coin.

No guarantees as to the format. This will be the first time for a 3 day event. But obviously I hope they do go w/ 3 sets per day.

When it all comes down to it, the format is much less important than the sum of all the parts.

Radiohead, Nine Inch Nails, Arcade Fire, Daft Punk to name a few that I would love to see that many times. And there is no way you havent seen a bad Phish show, every band has an off night, you are either that gullible to accept anything they throw ar you, or on too many drugs to care when they play. So, people were complaining about how some of the current shows were not that great, but you would beg to differ. So did you go to the bext show of the june tour? Bet you dont know which one it is.

Radiohead, NIN, Arcade Fire, Daft Punk 75 times each? Are you nuts?

I love all those bands and would love to see them multiple times...like 10 times each. Number 25 would be pretty boring, with those almost identical set lists and all. Number 39 would start to drag and I'd wonder what else I could be doing. Number 62 would be downright shitty. Number 75 and I think you get my point. They're just not bands to go on tour with, they're bands to see when they come through your part of town and then maybe +1 or 2. I wouldn't even want to see Daft Punk's last tour more than two or three times because the sets were IDENTICAL except for the encore.

I'm not one to see Phish 100 times nor would I count how many times I've seen ANY band but jambands do something other bands don't - they switch up the set list and rid themselves of the monotony. Like em or hate em, they're geared to be different and they're geared for tour rats, hence the insane following of a band like The Dead. I'm pretty sure the dead never played the same set list twice.

I have seen Phish 21 times since 1998, which is for me more than I have seen any other band. However, I never saw them more than 8 times in one year. There are a few bands that I could see 8 times a year (some of those are on Supre's list), they include Radiohead, NIN and Beck.

    Financially it would ruin me.

Phish has hosted a good number of festivals...

    Mostly it's just them playing.

I think Supre is hinting at the fact that Delta financed his Arcade Fire followin' at least in part by buying up and scalping Arcade Fire tickets and merchandise from show to show. Something Arcade Fire themselves wouldn't be too impressed with, and something that definitely didn't impress his Arcade Fire lovin' comrades.

Five hundred and thirty two dollars, and twelve cent.

EDIT: Didn't mean to drag thread off topic, just, bloody hell, 75 times...

I know a few Radiohead fans who have seen them over 75 times. There is one girl who has seen every show in north america since 2000, plus shows in europe. Her tally so far is 82. There was one fan who was acknoledged by the band at a show in europe for her 100th show last year.

I feel like nothing with only 22. COME ON 50!!!

I've def. seen them on an "Off" night. Not EVERY song at every show is perfect. But on the whole-- it wasn't a "bad" show in my eyes. I've had a blast each & every time. I'm a huge fan, but I actually HATE a few of their songs. When ever they play "Ice" I head for the beer stand. they start "bug"...I head for the pisser.

I saw the Jones beach run, and the shows were average. Average to me probably because I've been seeing them since'89. My buddy LOVED them all. They were his first shows. So, to me, in my eyes.....nope , not a single bad one.

I think the Camden show was hot, but probly the best one was the final night at Alpine.

BTW..............I don't do drugs. I drink like a fukin fish, but I'm gettin too old for all the shrooms, acid, X. Those daze are behind me.
