So Delta Spirit is finally on the schedule. And they also added The Submarines!!

And there is still the 7/27 and 8/9 artists TBA.

And I'm way too lazy to re post the revised time grid.

It's bad, I usually take the bus in. I start from the subway station in North Hollywood and transfer to a bus.

They always pull a few really incredible bands that you can't believe you're seeing for so cheap. I went the year with the New York Dolls and the Weirdos. We tried to catch John Cale the day before but couldn't find parking for the life of us.

So the two acts I want to see are playing different days, go figure. Islands is win...I didn't know they were touring this year. A one-off for Sunset Junction? Odd.

Islands will be touring around this I'm sure. They just announced something about this a couple weeks ago.

I do wish they were playing sunday though, I'll probably go that day for BTS. Hope they get some other sweet bands for Sunday.

Its in a neighborhood, so its not like there is a lot to park at. Street parking ft if you can even find it and get there early enough.

Sunset Junction is always shitty no matter who plays, unless you like huge crowds of people that don't dance at all, baby stroller gridlock, a thousand food vendors, and no parking.

I live near there and went to see the Buzzcocks one year, but was irritated by the completely motionless too-cool-4-school crowd watching, and even more irritated by endless parade of people forcing their way through the crowd with baby strollers.

    Screw this bullshit fest.

Stroller hit and run attacks are inevitable in huge crowds.

Have you ever been mowed over by a stroller at Disneyland? Those moms are ruthless.

The only place to get a break from strollers is a Vegas Casino floor.

I went last year and I completely agree with all of this. You forgot to mention the most pathetic sound quality I've ever heard at a festival (of any size) and the hour long beer lines.

    Worst Festival Ever.

Parking doesn't completely suck if you're willing to walk a couple blocks, but I feel you on the crowds. Broken Social Scene Played last year and the crowd acted like it was a Kraftwerk show, or a funeral. The food however, is fucking EXCELLENT.

    Whiskey Sour

    2 oz blended whiskey
    Juice of 1/2 lemon
    1/2 tsp powdered sugar
    1 cherry
    1/2 slice lemon

Shake blended whiskey, juice of lemon, and powdered sugar with ice and strain into a whiskey sour glass. Decorate with the half-slice of lemon, top with the cherry, and serve.

how much are tickets these days? I prefer the days of when it only had LA bands. (Or artist that reside in Los Angeles)

It was always a good deal for a "suggested" donation of $5 then it went to mandatory, and then it went up to $15, yet not upgrading anything else to make the $15 worth it.
    "It's in the K" - Martha Stewart

Since the show list is very minimal...
    August 29 // Chemical Brothers w/ Chromeo & Yacht @ Hollywood Bowl
September 26 // Vampire Weekend w/ Beach House & the Very Best @ Hollywood Bowl
October 5 // ARCADE FIRE @ Henry Miller Library
October 13 // Corin Tucker Band @ The El Rey
(someone should give me Sufjan Stevens tickets, aint got none of those)
