I like the song, but it's more than Queen-esque at that one part where Bellamy is sitting at the piano in the video, sounds just like the build-up part to We Are The Champions.

I can't believe you care so much what others like, you feel the need to post in the thread telling others they have bad taste in music.

not that I am trying to justify it.

Uh, just because Dharma has way less posts than you doesn't mean he's been around the board for less time. I mean, you guys both signed up within 3 months of each other. Right?

The thing is, I have no problem with people discussing why they dislike something. But the guy just come in with a douchey attitude, and really gives no substance to his argument.

We are all guilty of this from time to time - I dunno, just think it's pointless.

I don't really like the ending to the Eurasia song. It's just a bit TOO ridiculous sounding. But I like the majority of the song.

I kinda like the beginning of the song, but it's WAY too over the top. I was less than impressed.

I guess the song is actually 2 acts, and it's missing 2 min of the song. A new countdown has started, and there is a USB hunt in New York city.

Wow, I liked the song when we had just the first few pieces, but now that we have that ending I can honestly say I don't care for it too much. Even the good parts sound like many other Muse songs, and that middle part (Eura-shaa!) might now be the most repulsive and terrible part of the band's catalog if you don't count Micro Cuts.

I really want to like it too, they're a very talented band and one of the most explosive live acts I've ever seen. Let's hope that the rest of The Resistance is a little more on point than that song.

even if the album is shit, at least they will probably only play a few songs from it in concert. i'll still go.

The first two minutes are fantastic except for the fact that it sounds a little too like Queen as many have stated already. The Eurasia-SIA-SIA part is awful. I'm sure the album will be great. Looking back, I HATED Supermassive Black Hole as a first single. Everything about that song just made me cringe and the middle section before the solo "SUPERMASSIVE BLACK HOOOOOOOOOOOLE" still does but that ended up being a great album. I'm not going to start forming opinions or assumptions and get ready to expect a crappy album just with this one song. I still have hope that this will be a really great album. Either way I can't wait to see them live again. Oh and it's hard to say that they will only play "a few songs" from this album in concert considering the way they've been hyping this album up. From what i've seen it sounds like they're really happy with it.

I actually liked everything except the EUR ASIA! bit - and quite enjoyed the chopin piece at the end. For me, the Chopin piece brought the song back to being beautiful (like the first minute of the song was).

I love Muse, but I can't decide whether I love or hate this song. A few more listens are required.

I agree. I also like the fact of covers/tribute pieces, classic/good ones being referenced into some contemporary music but only if they're done good and I have to say I think it was nicely played here.

If the album isn't good, I won't see them unless they play Coachella or play a decent venue in LA for a fair price and are playing "Showbiz" every single night.

This is incorrect. I saw them twice on the Black Holes & Revelations tour, and they played almost that entire album each night. The only song from it that I didn't see live was Exo-Politics. But at the same time, they give you a solid 2 hour show, so it doesn't seem like new album overkill.

Speaking of overlooked Muse songs, I think Unintended might be the most beautiful song anyone has written in years. And that was what, back in '02? I fucking love that song, it's just perfect.

Yeah, the only song that I really despised on it was Hoodoo. That song seemed utterly pointless.

did you see the performance of it on the HAARP dvd? it's better than the original. I think it was more like '00.

edit: I stand corrected, it was 99.
