Do you get shit talked to you when you're in the crowd for your height?

My brother and I were up front for Paul when there was fat chick going crazy saying that the tall people need to go in the back and getting super angry at us just because we were in front of her. She was calling us "stupid white boys" and some other stuff.. Paul was awesome so there was no way in hell she could ruin his show for us, but it was just annoying..

I'm only 6 foot and my brother is an inch or 2 taller than me, so we aren't like Shaq size or any thing.

Any ways I can't wait tell next year! I pretty much think about Coachella every day haha

It's bullshit when someone taller than you muscles in to a packed crowd and stands right in front of you, just fucking rude. These two HUGE motherfuckers squeezed right in front of me just before Tool came on in 06. I'm 6'1" and these guys were 2" taller with jumbo sized heads, like the biggest fucking heads I've ever seen and curly ass hair on top of that. Nearly blocked my entire view. I entertained the idea that they were aliens. Gigantic fucking skulls. I was on acid so there is that I suppose.

I agree, I never do this shit. I try to get a spot before it gets packed, so everyone has a chance to plan ahead and not stand behind me. And I definitely will move in front of any fucker that chooses to squeeze in right in front of my 5'0" girlfriend. Trust me, you can see just as well from behind her.

I'm by no means tall (5'11"), but I always check behind me to see if someone shorter than me is having a hard time seeing over me.

This year, I let about 4-5 girls in front of me during Yeah Yeah Yeahs because they were midget small (around 5' or so). They were very appreciative, and I still could easily see over their heads. Not a big deal.

I'm not short for a chick (5'5"), but I do feel short at concerts with all these 6' guys in front of me.

A lot of times the only way I can comfortably see is if I'm at the rail or if there are a few shorter people in front of me if I'm a few "rows" back.

To hell with whatever everyone says, they can move if they want to. Besides, your ticket price is the same as theirs so what makes them think they get the privilege of having you move for them if your in the way. Stand your ground!

Although, if it wasn't a problem, you should have just offered to let them go in front. It's not like it will be hurting your view any.

i always wanted to invent something for short people at fests .... i though about some sort of funny blowup feet (like clown feet or something) that would make you, say 2 inches taller .... if they were like those wadding pool sort of things you put on kids arms and if they didnt have air in them, you could just carry them in your pockets, then when you needed them, blow them up and put them on your feet ... of course if a 6 foot person put them on, it would only make the problem bigger (ha ha) .... cr****

6'1" is pretty tall compared to the average height. Did you entertain the thought that maybe the 5'8" guy behind you was thinking the same thing? Oh, wait...You're a TOOL fan...nevermind, there's no rationalizing.

point is, all sorts of people annoy me at shows. i also don't let it bring me down and still have a great time, but personally it's not "discrimination", it's just i'm easily annoyed, lol. generally i dance though and that usually gets people out of the way. that may make me annoying to someone else, but that's just the way it goes. can't please everyone.
