Let's talk about bands who need to get back on the road. And no, I am not talking about the "what if" tours either. We all know Husker ain't getting back together and the NMH seem to be making up for lost time as they continue just add date after date after date....after date (you get me.)
No, I am talking about bands who regularly tour ever few years, but have been radio silent as of late--not reunion shows or "well they play Europe a lot" type of bands either.
My first pick is AIR. It has been a long time since they did a proper tour and their social media/website has been pretty static. Can't say that I am not a little nervous. Seem them a bunch when I lived in DC and they always have a great touring band in tow. Usually they tour purely behind an album, but after they dropped the movie soundtrack a few years ago, they didn't really do a tour. I think there were a few "one-off" screenings of the film with the AIR soundtrack, but that was about it.
That is where I am starting the discussion, but would love to hear who is on your list of perennial artists who have been quiet as of late.
