I would totally offer up my place for crashing, but I don't think I will have moved into a new apartment by then. I actually planning on being in an apartment in SF at the end of August. If it does turn out that it's earlier, I'll totally let everyone know as I wouldn't care.

That being said, I'd like to go in on something with all of you if possible. It would be nice to have a place to go that doesn't involve driving. And I don't mind sleeping on the floor if I have a pillow!

Luka's Taproom is a popular place frequented by pre-concert patrons of the Paramount Theater (also located in downtown Oakland). They primarily focus upon Belgian brews and have a lot of different beers on tap, they also have food available.

Right, I'm planning on landing in Oakland at 2:30. The venue is ~12 minutes away. Assuming the show is at 8pm we should pick a bar or restaurant for everyone to meet at around 6pm.

Then there's the matter of lodging. If a bunch of us are going to pitch in on a room or two, we should find a place nearish the venue and just fly out of OAK the next day. It would make travel much easier.

Depending on what time you arrive you can take bart to The Fox take the 19th st oakland stop and the venue is literally one block from the bart station. The show will end before the last bart train leaves for SF...

this venue is soooo gorgeous in side, interactive vintage theatre machinery to play with, tons of bars and the GA area as floor fans with approx 3' spacing for your pleasure...For a sold out event there is plenty of room to get your boogy on in this place!!!

I can fly into Oakland around the same time Jeff, 2:30pm on Friday, and then I say we get in LAX around noon on Saturday so we can grab the hotel, get ready, preparty.

Be careful in choosing your hotel. If it is close and cheap, be wary of the neighborhood. The neighborhood on the east side of the freeway isn't the nicest place to be late at night and often those hotels are very unsavory.

That place Mark and Ryan and whoever else stayed at last year is probably the best option you're gonna find. Relatively close, on the USC side of Figueroa. How much was it to stay there? Ivy and I might be doing the same.

PLURfect! Airfare purchased, I'm landing in OAK at 2:30 and am all for meeting up with anyone who's arriving at the same spot around the same time. Good, good, good, this is coming together well.

The only remaining questions are lodging Friday night and which airport we're flying out of Sat. But the latter gets pretty much gets dictated by the former.
