i have flown in and out of Oakland dozens of times and have never had a problem, EXCEPT during the winter and my plane being stuck at its point of origin due to snow. the location of SFO compared to OAK has a massive effect on weather conditions

Well I still do want to crash with everyone, especially on Friday night after Underworld in SF and for sure Sat night after HARD, even if its only for a couple of hours till we leave again for SF.

I am almost positive that Alex will be with me so we can throw down on a room easy. We should collect from everyone and get a nice big room for after Underworld in SF, after HARD I prob wont be getting much sleep so i dont care where / how nice the room is.

Ok, we're up to 6 people in the hotel crew on Fri. Definitely going to look for a suite or something large.

I was thinking of staying somewhere around the venue in Oakland and flying out of the OAK airport the next day around noon. Makes things a little easier.

I would be down to throw down to party, not sure if I would crash, since I live close, but I'm down

I say that the six of us from out of town should throw in about 30 a piece and get a pretty decent room for Friday night for after the show in SF, and everyone else can just come and party, if anyone will need to crash on the floor after the party is fine with me.

Wow, that is an odd range. If I end up going, I'm just getting the $35.50 tickets. Is it safe to assume Vegas won't sell out anytime soon?

if i were you I would stay in San fran as opposed to oakland...and the BART and bus systems work so well that proximity isn't really a concern

Even with Bart, staying in SF would make the logistics a little tougher. Some of us have bags to drop off or store somewhere during the show. We'd have to be sure to catch the last train going across the bay as well. Is the show guaranteed to be done by 12:30?

why would the show end at 12:30 on a friday?

i don't about the fox specifically, or underworld, but if you go see a dj in the city it's normal for the headliner dj to come on at 2 am. at least that's what happened with me the last 2 or 3 times i saw a dj here.

Not really sure? If underworld doesn't add anymore n. american dates, I would say that it would probably sell-out shortly (week or so?, only a guess though). I just bought my tickets today so I don't have to deal with the stress of this show selling out lingering in my head...

Now all I need to do is get some HARDfest tickets and I'm set!!! Does anyone know how they are setting up the VIP zones/areas @ the forum?

This is the first rave held at the Forum so no one has any idea really how it will be set up. My friend who used to work there told me the Forum was owned by some religious group and they wouldn't even serve alcohol. Obviously that has changed now thank goodness.

I'll most likely have my gf's car in sf and will be goofing around during the day. Might be able to pick everyone up..just dont quote me on it now.

i was just thinking last night how long we have to wait for these shows. the planning in advance is saving us major cash 8^)

Yessir, especially with the airfare. I'd like to get the air travel nailed down and then figure out the lodging around that.

    found some info:

SETUP: HARD Summer will feature performances in three separate areas; The Forum's arena will host the HARD STAGE with an open dancefloor and additional seating in the round. A separate viewing area for VIP ticketholders will be partitioned here. Below the arena, a second stage will be erected in THE UNDERGROUND. Additional DJs will entertain the VIP set in the Forum Club.
