Can you get tickets for this yet?
Ill probably go to the pomona show
This Friday. I was thinking of going to the glasshouse show, but the Avalon will do them both (mainly the Field) much more justice. Absolutely cannot wait.
anyone else attending?
yep! I got my tickets for the Casbah!!
Does anyone know if The Field are using a full band set up?
For those going to the avalon show on friday. dont buy tixs and wait until late wed/early thurs. danceright should have a free guestlist then. ill give u a heads up when it's released. its free b4 11 and 10 bucks after. gonna be tough to top last weeks Control Fridays though w/ Tiga and James Murphy complete w/ wild boombox stage setup...
Brandon and Corinna, I'd like to reiterate that I think both of you should attend the Casbah show. Brandon, have you heard the Juan Maclean? I think you'd like them. They are on DFA records and James Murphy used to be in the band. During his time in the Juan Maclean he would bring his own PA and set it up at every show. The name of this PA was "Death From Above".
and the new Juan Maclean record is fun... sound's like Human League!!
Have at it LA peeps....

umm..so can i just print this out, bring it, and get $10 off?
So has anyone gone to any of these shows?
my friend was at the GLass House show and she said it was not very full, i guess all the partyheads waited for the Avalon show instead. She did get to run into James Murphy though. Said it was one of the best shows she's seen all year and it was a hot and sweaty dance party.
That was fun. The Field sounded fucking great, although I missed the first part of their set, walking in just as "Over The Ice" started. Since Cleveland is somewhat dancephobic, there couldn't have been more than 50 people in the venue, but the Juan Maclean had just about all of them moving and they tore down the place with an extended version of "Happy House." He did an afterparty DJ set at the club below the venue, but it was pretty dead, so I bailed pretty early instead of blowing money I don't have on drinks.
