If you watch it backwards, it's the feel-good hit of the year.

the most inconsistent element of Irreversible was his score... I wish Gasper Noe was taking a bigger chance on someone with a little more experimentation in them. No offense meant to any of his worshippers here...

That synopsis isn't very grabbing... Also, Lions Gate make more poop films than good ones. Is Gaspar Noe mostly for drugs?

That synopsis, or close variations, comes up in every creative writing class it seems. It has a great risk of rolling into a billion clichés and stereotypes, especially if the main character is a drug dealer and the other one is a stripper. A lot of times people just pick generic, cookie cutter characters and scenes so that they can add some structure around their stream of consciousness story. Everybody wants to write a stream of consciousness. There are other modernist techniques that the synopsis mentions.

Maybe Gaspar Noe will pull it off, but I'm usually skeptical if Lions Gate is the distributer.
