It is hilarious to see how far they have come. Fighting to keep tickets under $20 back in the mid-90's to this now. $76/ticket before fees for a bare bones show. I paid less AFTER fees for two tickets to that 2003 show then I did for one ticket after fees on this current tour. Anyway, I will pay the piper because I am a schmuck and PJ meant to much to me in my youth to not see them. I often wonder how young Ed would look at himself nowadays. I guess a man has to eat his eggs, right?
very well put...completely makes sense to me now,

CL was definitely on my radar but I hadn't thought of the PJ boards. I'll keep tabs on both as the shows get closer. Good call.

They recently made the offical PJ board only accessable if you are a member of the fan club.

    I believe the #2 board would be here ... http://www.theskyiscrape.com ...
"Red Mosquito" ... follow the links to the forum.

I'm heading up to Seattle for the two shows ... these are right when the new album is released, and they haven't played Seattle in what 5 - 6 years? Should be agreat shows ......... I hope.

They played The Gorge in '06. Same w/end the Red Sox played in Seattle so I went to the Sox games and they were swept. Go figure.

I was bitter on the drive home. To say the least.

I am sure they are handling the majority of them, like they normally do. Despite their fall-off in quality, I still prefer them to Klausen.

Klausen has stated he's doing 2 shows (I think Toronto was one of them) ... I'd assume ames is doing most, if not all, of the others.

Potential for Tom Tomorrow to do some poster artwork? He did the art for the new album

i actually like those way more than the ames bros work from the last couple tours. i dont even want to frame most i bought from the last few shows. just got them as a collectors item.

and the presale is worthless to people going to so. cal shows, since none of them are part of it.

I like the artwork a lot, I just think each picture would be better suited as part of some cool, creative Pearl Jam-esque packaging kind of thing. A bit cluttered wiht all this shit on one cover...

This is some German EPK for Backspacer... hosted by Bruno. Don't get discouraged, a lot of it is in English and you can hear about 4 clips of new songs.

Fucking limies...Pearl Jam plays there and THIS is what they have to write about?

PEARL JAM frontman EDDIE VEDDER set the O2 alight last night - literally.
The rocker did a KEITH RICHARDS when he flouted the no-smoking law by frequently lighting up stageside, in full view of the packed venue.

The sight of Eddie wrapping his lips around ciggie-after-ciggie proved too much for many of his nicotine-dependant fans, who promptly followed suit.

Gig officials turned a blind eye to the puffing masses as plumes of tobacco smoke filled the O2, much to the chagrin of the non-smoking contingent.

Still, they weren't overly hindered by the attack on their lungs as Pearl Jam blasted through a blinding set stretching over the two-hour mark.

The band proved they're still at the top of their game 18 years since the release of their seminal debut album Ten, from which flagship single Alive still sounds as fresh and relevant today as it did then.

In fact it was the Seattle quintet's earlier tunes - notably the adrenaline rush of Animal, Even Flow and Why Go - that kicked fans into life.

Slower songs Betterman and Elderly Woman Behind The Counter In A Small Town received equally ecstatic applause, as did a storming cover of The Who's Love, Reign O'er Me - with Vedder's age-defying gravelly baritone at maximum pelt.

New songs The Fixer and Supersonic - from upcoming album Backspacer, their ninth studio offering - pointed to a much poppier future for the band, after the lengthy experimental phase that followed third LP Vitalogy back in 1994.

As demonstrated by the eclectic mix of career-spanning material played on Tuesday night, Pearl Jam have always ignored the rulebooks.

Not to mention the no-smoking signs.

The poster presale for the West Coast dates is up at the 10C now. It looks like you can only preorder a poster for a show that you purchased through the fan club. Awesome idea, although it sucks that I can't order the 1-2 other posters for shows I will be attending.
