I knew I should've gone to San Diego, too. You guys got my favorite song, In My Tree, which I have never seen live. Not to mention Tremor Christ, In Hiding and the rare occurence of something being played after Yellow Ledbetter. During that first encore in Phoenix, I kept thinking to myself, "How in the world is this going to be topped in LA?" Well, after seeing what they did in San Diego, it looks like they'll give it a pretty good go at topping it. This tour has been something else.

Good god, that was amazing. They just kept playing...and playing...and playing. Fucking Porch with the green balls flying around was so fun. And yea...In Hiding and In My Tree were both really nice surprises. Goldenvoice needs to get over their little tiff or whatever it is with these guys and book that shit for Coachella already. So overdue. I want an Elderly Woman sing-along on the polo fields damnit!

Great reviews on the SD show...sounds insane, amazing setlist.

Have folks seen shows at the LA Sports Arena before - how is the sound from Loge/Concourse/in the back? Trying to decide how hard I should try (read: pay) to find tickets in lower Loge/arena risers/GA. Thanks in advance!

The only time I've seen at show at the LA Sports Arena was Springsteen in '09, and the sound was fine. If it was a band like Radiohead who rely on excellent acoustics, it'd be an awful venue to be in the back. But like Springsteen, PJ is just a really rowdy rock show and I don't see seats in the back being a problem.

Sadly the Sports Arena was built in the late 50s and has TERRIBLE acoustics. I can't say how sensitive you may be to that.
Far worse acoustics than the Forum used to have and that wasn't all that great pre-renovation. Unfortunately it's just an old, shitty venue that's never really received a major upgrade or the TLC that it needs.

It was pretty echo-y from the concourse section earlier this year, but I hope it will be a little better from the loge. We'll see.

Do any of the USC garages charge less than the Sports Arena lot for concerts? I'm down here right now to get the poster and shirt for tonight, but don't really want to pay the $25 the sign says it'll be tonight for parking when I come back if I can help it.

For someone from Arizona who isn't familiar with the surrounding area and the only time I've been to this venue was seven years ago for Draft Punk, yes it is. I feel honored to have been supre'd, though, so thanks.

Not sure. For football, they charge $25 on campus, but for a concert it may be less.

After (re)listening to PJ's entire discography this week, Lightning Bolt is pretty weaksauce. The slower/more acoustic songs ("Pendelum") hold up better than the rockers.

You're probably gonna have to bite the bullet for lot parking. There are one or two garages for $20 a bit further away. Sucks. But that's how it has been forever. Someone else may know more but that is my exp and I have been going to that area since Raiders were in town.

Thanks, guess I'll just park in the main lot then. Always get sticker shock when it comes to parking prices in LA.

If you have an extra 20-30 min, can park on the Expo Line route and take that in...huge parking lot at Culver City terminus, street parking on other stops.

No opener. They hit the stage at 8:20 in Phoenix and that has been about the average start time the whole tour. Thanks for the parking tips everyone. Should be another amazing show from the boys tonight. Enjoy yourselves!

Another fantastic setlist even if the beginning was a little similar to Phoenix. Never thought I'd ever get Release and Long Road in the same show let alone it happening twice. This marked my 10th time seeing the band and I finally got Dissident! Plus, All Or None was played for the first time in eight years and for just the 11th time ever. And got to hear songs I hadn't heard in a while like Garden, Black and Rearviewmirror. Just a great night all around, especially with ASU capturing the Pac-12 South title before the show. I have a feeling they're going to bust out a pretty insane set tomorrow. Can't wait.

I would be extremely surprised if we didn't get both Elderly Woman and Daughter tonight. They're both played practically nightly and haven't been the past two shows in a row.

We sucked it up and paid the $25. We left a bit later than planned since the ASU/UCLA game was so close so we didn't want to waste time driving around and looking. By the way, it took us probably close to 25 minutes to get from the freeway exit to the lot. Plan accordingly.
