Smile and In Hiding are two of the big ones on my haven't-seen-live-yet list. And fuck yeah also to I Got Shit, Alone, and Sad for making an appearance. Get that Parachutes shit out of here, though.

I heard they soundchecked two new songs the other day, Mind Your Manners is probably the only one they feel confident about at this point I'd imagine.

Present Tense should be a staple opener. Such an interesting setlist overall. The flow seems bizarre, but I would be super stoked to get that setlist.

Great setlist indeed, although not sure I'd want to end with indifference. Great song, but I like to close on a more rockin note. And speaking of closing...they need to learn some new covers to become staples in their encores, they've been playing the same ones (rockin in the free world, fuckin up, baba, etc) for like 20 years now.
Let's go on a livin' spree!

That's a pretty good setlist, though they shouldn't open with 3 mellow songs. Just 1 (or zero) and then get to rockin'.

Also, Indifference is a great closer in an indoor area, but it shouldn't come after the celebratory RITFW.
We're here to play some Mississippi Delta Blues. We're in a horrible depression, and I gotta admit - we're starting to like it.

Don't knock Indifference as the closer until you tried it. Definitely a nice way to end the evening.

I've seen Indifference twice, once as a closer and once second to last, and it's amazing. I'd much rather have that than one of the same old closers.

Oh, and what's this "Seated/Standing" thing on the setlist? Were they all on stools with acoustics or something during the "Seated" part?

Indifference as a closer is stunning and it works just fine after RITFW. That's how they closed Missoula and it was awesome. Yeah, they sat down during the "seated" portion of Encore 1. This is from the Fan Views thread:

(For this part of the show the guys sit down closer together. The band has a new stage set up and lighting rig. During the first encore a giant “chaos bird” that appears to be made of scrap metal with lights strung throughout it descends from the truss to hang just above the band. There are orange lamps all over the stage and larger globes that descend and rise into the lighting truss. )

Didn't you see their 2006 Santa Barbara show? I imagine it was just like that.

I guess there's a rumor that the band is going to be doing a long soundcheck at some point tonight. You might be able to listen to it via this webcam and it should work for the show tomorrow night, too. Heard one of the band's techs doing a 1-2, 1-2 mic check just a few minutes ago.

    http://www.earthcam.com/usa/illinois.../wrigleyfield/

    Edit: Soundcheck just started.

End of soundcheck. The sound quality was awesome for being a webcam positioned across the street. Hopefully this holds up for the entire show tomorrow night.

YES! I love that song so much, and it was the only song from the last album that I never saw live on that tour. One of the better and more overlooked slower, folkier songs they've done imo...right up there with Thin Air.

The show is still in a weather delay. Don't know what's going to happen at this point since there's a curfew at Wrigley due to the surrounding residential area. This sucks for everyone who traveled to the show. Guess there was a reason why I didn't get the time off to go.

I know a crazy PJ girl who decided just *today* around lunchtime to book a last minute flight to Chicago, without a ticket in hand. She made the show in time and got in, but this is exactly why you don't go and do something like that.

Got my tickets for LA Night 2 through Ticketmaster. I had to go to a Ticketmaster outlet for the first time in years since I'm staying with my family at my grandma's this weekend and she doesn't have internet. Kind of freaked out a bit because the Ticketmaster kiosk at Walmart was taking forever trying to find three tickets together, but I got them. Upper level, but we're in the building. It'll be the first time I'm able to bring both my parents with me to a PJ show since I always just get pairs through 10C. Pretty excited about that.

Is Pearl Jam really one of the hardest concert tickets to get in 2013? As their demand always been that high? I mean, I know they're popular, but damn.

Yeah, it did. At the 10:00am mark, I pulled section E row 34 (benches). 10 minutes later I pulled section U row 27.
Most of the best seats probably went to 10 Club. But a chunk of good seats must've gone to the Viejas box office, too. They were doing a wristband lottery at 9am (haven't done that in decades), which I only found out after the fact. I probably should've tried my luck there.
I don't think demand was as high back in 2009. Same venue.

Looks like they released a bunch of seats behind the stage for SD show. It says obstructed view, but if you're desperate...

All my friends got shut out for the SD show...granted they are not ticket grabbing professionals, but they must have gone pretty fast.
Let's go on a livin' spree!

Was able to grab some tickets for the Portland show. Not great (in the 200 section), but my group is all together. Will be quite the change from 10 Club seats that I was used to obtaining.
    For your health
