Yellow Ledbetter was this incredibly elusive song when I was in middle school. I heard it from time to time on the radio, knew it was Pearl Jam, but couldn't find it anywhere. Heard about this side project of sorts called Temple of the Dog and was *sure* it had to be on that album...nope. Every time they played it on the radio they'd NEVER say what it was afterwards. I did later find out what it was called, but it wasn't until Best Buys started to open in high school that I was able to find the Jeremy single and have an actual physical copy of it.

So, long/tl;dr story short, I've always loved it and will never grow tired of hearing it live.

    agreed!

Dan Rossen was the only one that drove that song, drumming was sub-par (weak & messy), lack of bass also hurt the cover

Cornell with the Avett Bros. - my fucking god that was beautiful!!!! re-watched it over and over

Footsteps, you need to loosen your panties. no one said you said "always", and seriously I can't believe you feel such a strong need to prove your PJ bona fides. You like those particular songs and like ending a show on a come down. I don't particularly like YL and I prefer concerts (by any band, at any concert) to end on an energetic note. whooptydoo.

Wasn't trying to prove anything other than that if you go to a PJ show you shouldn't hope for a rocker to close. That YL stat took me literally one click to find on PJ's site. And I was just explaining why I like and feel that YL and Indifference are the perfect closers. You know, like you were explaining why you don't. I believe it's referred to as discussing and debating.

Pearl Jam should end every show with Bee Girl. That would be a fucking ethereal way to end a 3 hour journey. I would be moved to tears on the way out of the venue. This would be the best walk off encore in the history of the band:

    Sweet Lew
Hunger Strike (With Billy Corgan singing Cornell's parts)
    Sleight Of Hand
    Bu$hleaguer (Acoustic)
    Bee Girl

I'd go home a very happy man with this encore. Fuck Yellow Ledbetter; it's time to mix up the closers.

Ha Bee Girl would actually probably be kinda cool as a closer. And I'd be all for them playing more of Jeff's songs.

Jeff is the most underrated writer in Pearl Jam. Low Light, Gods' Dice, Bee Girl, Sleight of Hand, Smile, Nothing As It Seems, Nothingman etc are all fucking awesome tracks. Jeff' isn't respected near as much as he should be as a songwriter

So apparently if you ever want to see Pearl Jam cover Van Halen then you need to go to a Hartford show. Great to see they busted out Fuckin' Up in the second encore.

A lot of nods to Lou Reed tonight. Read that Ed got pretty emotional during the first encore and the crowd was completely silent during Man of the Hour.

So, so jealous of my friend who was at the show tonight. I should've planned to fly out to go with him when he asked back when tickets went on sale. In My Tree, Grievance, Thumbing My Way (first time in seven years) and Breath all in the same night. Ugh...that hurts. And whoever wanted them to switch up closers got their wish tonight with Little Wing closing the show.

You're being suprefan by griping about it! I, for one, appreciate them being here. The PJ forums are filled with nothing but one-dimensional mouth breathers who have the absolute worst taste in music I've ever heard of. I avoid them at all cost.

Pretty much this. I couldn't believe all of the negative reactions on there when the band played WMA/99 Problems with Jay Z last year. I would've given anything to have been in Philly to witness that.

Haven't seen them since Vitalogy tour in 1995 at Soldier Field. I'm loving these setlists and seeing them here in a few weeks. I hope we get Elderly Women, looks like they are playing it regularly during encores.

Animal, corduroy, daughter into Another Brick in the Wall sounds great too. I think I heard Daughter into Another Brick in the Wall on the Vitalogy tour too but that was a long time ago and I could be wrong.

Animal, corduroy, daughter into Another Brick in the Wall sounds great too. I think I heard Daughter into Another Brick in the Wall on the Vitalogy tour too but that was a long time ago and I could be wrong.

All the setlist chatter is fine, but nobody is commenting on the quality of the shows.

Their Voodoo show was handicapped-ly awesome. Ed and Mike were both killing it all night, and the show ended in grand fashion. It was a dominant show closing set by a band known for doing those. What's more, they had that ALS victim who used to play for the Saints announce the show. It killed. If you watch a PJ show, you probably will end up liking PJ.

Yeah, everything I read throughout the first leg of the tour said the guys are absolutely on fire right now. I've seen a lot of people say this has been the best tour since the Riot Act tour. Can't wait to hear the bootlegs of some of these shows, especially Worcester 1, Brooklyn 2 and Charlottesville.

Leg 2 started last night with what looks like a pretty rocking show. First time they've played Dallas in 10 years. Incredibly jealous that St. Vincent joined them onstage for RITFW.

Oh, shit, I've been so busy lately that this show snuck up on me. Is there an opener? Ticket says doors are at 7:30. About what time have Pearl Jam been going on? Need to see if I have to try working from home that day.
