I've had handfuls of Mexicans tell me they don't know what Cinco de Mayo is. So, I'm guessing marketting ploy, but my sources may not be the most accurate.

"Cinco de-I'm barely over 21 AND GETTING F=)CKED UP TONIGHT", is what it looks like to me every year... Same unoriginal, belligerent, obnoxious, crowd, few of which are Hispanic.

I got a DUI last month, so I'd rather stay home, watch bowls and smoke Stephen Colbert. Or take a half an adderall and meticulously wash teh inside of my car...

Not really. A large portion of Arizona's population comes from the mid-west and east coast so you'll see a little diversity here and there. I know of three in Tucson alone.

They don't have the same charm because of the building differences and things like that, but they are Irish owned "pubs".

Arizona has a little bit of everything. It doesn't have an abundance of great restaurants, but it has more than people may realize.

10/11 - Carolina Chocolate Drops @ Rialto Theater (Tucson, AZ)

    Whiskey Sour

    2 oz blended whiskey
    Juice of 1/2 lemon
    1/2 tsp powdered sugar
    1 cherry
    1/2 slice lemon

Shake blended whiskey, juice of lemon, and powdered sugar with ice and strain into a whiskey sour glass. Decorate with the half-slice of lemon, top with the cherry, and serve.
