stay away from the santa monica bbq fest. read about it on yelp, last year almost all the bbq vendors ran out of food by 1pm, all the plates were $10 and for your $10 you got like 2 ribs. oh and you had to pay $10 to get in. the lines to get food were well over an hour at any of the stands, and if you wanted drinks it was another hour.

That review of the SM BBQ fest is a whole lot different than the Stagecoach experience. That Stagecoach BBQ is ridiculous. They have all sorts of advanced cookers with space age technology. The food was hot and deliciousi never saw any waiting at all. Hopefully the SM one improves since that review was written.
