honestly i love to drink, but i LOVE how coachella locks it up. its SO much better. it keeps the field from being littered with trash everywhere becasue we all know drunks are slobs. it also keeps people from being able to get completely hammered because they cant spend all day drinking. im not knocking drinking, but cant we have 1 festival where you have to do it in moderation and reduce the number of annoying drunk people in the tightly packed crowds. its like 100 degrees anyhow, what the hell is the point of drinking? dehydration much?

I personally love the beer gardens, i don't think drunks are able to behave well, no matter their age...yes, I drink too but it is not my focus for the festival

As a Coachella attendee every day since 1999, I feel that the beer gardens contribute to the peaceful nature of the festival as compared to every other concert or festival I've ever attended. In 10 years of Coachella, I have witnessed only 3 fights ever and that is incredible for an event this size. So many other events that I have been to have had numerous fights and alcohol related issues that are pleasingly absent from Coachella.

It's worked this long, I don't see a reason to change it now

I couldn't agree more. I actually didn't drink too much last weekend because I was busy E'in and getting blasted off the yeah yo. Cocaine...it's a helluva drug. Twenty one and over always equals BIG PIMPIN'. There were way too many 15 year olds running around in bikkini's. And how about those stupid fuckin kids that sit down in the mosh pit. The are lucky that I didn't kick their sorry ass in the head. Next year I won't be so nice.

Vegoose let you go everywhere with your beer and I didn't notice much trash. I'm pretty sure it wasn't 21+ either. You just better have a wristband on your arm if you're drinking or you get chucked out.

Maybe with the increased size of Coachella the beer cups would become a problem. The Download Festival in England was a total trash pit... but maybe that's my countrymen being their dirty selves.
