Does anyone else have a post Coachella cold?

How do you relieve 10lbs of dirt/dust in your chest? This shit seriously sucks. I feel like shit.

time. just gotta wait for it all to work its way out. best to prepare for it beforehand and wear bandannas or dust masks to help keep that crap out throughout the weekend. you will notice 90% of people working backstage have a bandanna around their neck for later or on their face. crazy dust.

Sore throat/tickle seems to be arriving right on time. I don't think it comes from the dust/dirt as I had a dust mask on most of the weekend. I do seem to get this every year and am otherwise healthy.

I finally caved in and went to urgent care yesterday. I spent 30 minutes on a breathing machine to breakup all the crap in my lungs.
Ended up with an inhaler, antibiotics and cough syrup with codeine. already feel significantly better.

Monday saw the ramping up of my ubiquitous runny nose, and an annual refueled desire to quit smoking. We'll see how that goes over the next few weeks.

None of us got the Coachella Crud this year but last year we were all sick for weeks. I tried to be more careful though, no water from vendors, no smoking other peoples doobies or pipes, covered my nose and mouth in the dust coming and going to the entrance, and no sickness for us! Yay:-)

Ha, my '09 thread came back. Just like my hacking cough and lost voice. I didn't end up taking any days off work (except Monday, of course, but that was planned ahead) but the whole week after I sounded and felt like dirt.

Were anyone's allergies worse this year? Usually it's not until Sunday when the grass gets beat up that my allergies go on overdrive. This year my throat was itching from day 1 (first weekend).

Regardless, it's all worth it.

someone tipped me to saline nasal spray as entry-level neti pot. I think it helped me avoid the severe plague, but could just be a placebo wet nose effect.

i gotta try that, along with bandanna for the walk to and from the parking lot as well as robbing trains. Got my first post Coachella cold, 2 weekends was too much, day 6 i was a zombie and couldn't enjoy anything

next time try zinc lozenges. they wont kill the cold but (for me) it usually makes a significant difference

make sure you follow directions and use distilled or boiled water or this could happen. pretty rare but scary as hell

Yes filtered water for the Neti pot. I wouldnt drink tap water let alone put it up my nose...

Definitely less depressed since I went to both weekends!
