I have not been physically ill this year post-coachella, thankfully. Mentally is another story.
Yes! The sniffles and a sore throat. They're usually gone in a couple days and I can't seem to shake them this year.
no sickies for me, but then I managed to use my neti pot even while camping. two years in a row I've used it at coachella, two years i've not gotten sick. I love that thing.
Got sick after the first day. Runny nose and constant sneezing. Lungs were hurting come Saturday night and didn't bother going Sunday as was sick. Went to LA to do touristy stuff instead with the gf.
If there's nothing wrong with you after Coachella, you didn't do it right.
I'ma ball at the mall shuttin' down the sea wall
Went from a cold, to a fever, now to bronchitis and no voice. F me.
Does anyone know how to avoid this? For me, the Coachella cold is pretty much inevitable, but I thought that maybe, just maybe I could beat it with a bunch of Emergen-C, vitamins, and hand sanitizer. I didn't get AS sick as I did last year, but a week after the fest, my voice is still cracking worse than a boy going through puberty.
always important to wear some kind of face protection, whether it be a dust mask, bandanna, etc. you can't always see the dust, but it is there 24/7.
I think it's the dust. This was yesterday.....
Now I'm realizing why my asthma has been worse this week. Not horrible but noticeable.
I did get a bottle of Arm & Hammer nasal wash, which I used every night after getting back to the hotel and it did clear out some of the dust from my sinuses. Next year, I'm wearing two bandanas over my face.

So it's been a week since I got back and I'm still dealing with the lingering effects of the post Coachella cold. This might have been the worst I've had it in my four years of going, but I'd attribute that to the cooler night time temps during weekend one. Definitely giving the Neti Pot a try next year though.
Though the electrolytes, vitamins, hand sanitizer are also good ideas. I'd also throw in making sure to eat healthy food, too.
Also while I don't have a specifically post-Coachella cold going I did arrive back in NYC and am currently knocked back by allergies. First spring in the Northeast, woo!

^Sorry to hear that. My sister has pneumonia as well.
I only saw that watering truck only once weekend 1, it made the rounds far fewer times this year, it seems. I know it was colder, but it was still dusty as ever, maybe even moreso.
Ugh, had a monthlong battle with pneumonia last year, get better quickly! Meanwhile, my sinus infection has settled in quite nicely...

I don't know what I have but cough is still hanging on and still congested as all get out. I could go through a box of tissue in day!
I rarely fall ill, but about three days after weekend 1, something hit. Finally broke up in my lungs this weekend, but I can barely talk although my throat is not sore. I thought it was from wearing my immune system down with not enough sleep and too much fun, but maybe there was something in that dust.
i got the flu on thursday, 100 degree fever in the 100 degree heat was interesting. standard scratchy throat and plugged-up now, success!
I'm so fucked up. By Saturday first weekend my voice was completely gone. Somehow brought it back to 50% for Sunday by a combo of tea and straight honey to my throat.
Went back home for Monday-Wednesday, feeling pretty good. My gf tells me she's coming down with a cold on Thursday, and of course by Saturday second weekend I was sick with a whole new something. Terrible sinus pain and cough. Had an amazing time at Dre and Snoop on Sunday even though my body was screaming no.
BLEHHHHHHH monday after day 6....... I feel fucking insane
I'm still super tired Maybe I should have taken a nap during Bon Iver.

Pretty sure all of you got stabbed with an aidz needle.
Sinus rinse & Mucinex D (they stuff you have to sign for at the pharmacy) are my best friends when I'm dealing with nasal & chest congestion. I'm sure someone else will recommend some natural stuff, but the D is my remedy of choice. It'll dry you out & help you cough out all the yuck in your chest.
My name is Becca. Hi.
I have a Coachella ear infection, so I got some stuff for that. The doctor also gave me something for my congestion, and an inhaler for wheezy lung. This is the worst post-Coachella sickness I've had.
