Not really a big fan of mash ups but his energy was fantastic. I hope we see more of him in the states. Might be one of the best acts that day. Controlled the crowd and was really feeling what he was playing.

haaa who remember when zane lawe put the whole sahara down, and he put sandstorm, haha the people got crazy, great moment.

He has great energy but I felt like I was listening to "Now THIS is Dance Music! (With dodgy remixes of rock n roll added) Vol. XIV"

The Sandstorm thing was kind of...well...probably would have been cool 9 years ago. I suppose I should expect as much from a Radio1 DJ but it just wasn't my cup of tea. Probably better than David Guetta a couple years back, though.

I COMPLETELY AGREE! My and the PAW'ers that had the lucky opportunity to catch him while waiting for bloody beetroots were simply thrilled and it was definately a great set time slot to put them in right before my face melted off... Simply the best electro/dance set I have ever experienced in my entire life (Beetroots). The energy in that crowd was rediculous...

I would have to say the best part of his set was when he started playing old rock songs...could someone remind me what he was mixing in with QUEEN towards the end of his set?

Yeah I agree as well, my friend and I didn't really know the guy but just strolled into Sahara for the end of Surkin and the beginning of Zane Lowe and I thought it was pretty entertaining.

Like many others only caught the end of this while waiting for the bloody beetroots, the sandstorm thing was tight, a wee bit corny, but fun set none the less.

I only caught the end of his set, while trying to get a good spot for The Bloody Beetroots, and it really did seem like a fun show. That crouch and jump moment actually made "Sandstorm" enjoyable to dance to.

Hahaha I was thinking the first thing at first but then I just realized that I wanted to have fun, but from a musical standpoint, yes. But I just said fuck it, and decided to not really care since you could tell that the DJ was trying his hardest to make the crowd go nuts, I would definately book him if I was HARD summer!

    yeaaaaaa. I said it...

I'm surprised too. I don't know what is set is like, I just find the guy so intensely irritating I wouldn't expect much.

He tried too hard to get the crowd into it by speaking into the mic, but the crowd just plain didnt like the music until about the last 10 minutes.

He played arguably my three most overheard/most disliked electronic tracks.

    1) Justice - We Are Your Friends
    2) Kid cudi's crookers remix
    3) Darude - Sandstorm

Other than those intensely irrating moments I will say it got my blood going for the beetroots.

His interaction with the crowd gave his set a clear beginning, middle, and end.

What blew me away was the samples used in mashups.
    Whiskey Sour

    2 oz blended whiskey
    Juice of 1/2 lemon
    1/2 tsp powdered sugar
    1 cherry
    1/2 slice lemon

Shake blended whiskey, juice of lemon, and powdered sugar with ice and strain into a whiskey sour glass. Decorate with the half-slice of lemon, top with the cherry, and serve.

Very enjoyable. I wonder what his usual sets sound like. It seemed like he was catering to a more general audience. Fun nonetheless.

I thought his set was just alright. However (as much as I hate that song), sandstorm at the end was pretty fun
