Default Vendors Fee Increase, Classic Food Vendors Decrease

For the past 4 years a buddy has ran a tent to sell hot dogs, polish, ect.. This year he did not attend. Why? Because Coachella decided to raise the price of renting out space for food vendors. Now I canít speak for any other classic food vendor, but the reasoning he gave me was pretty insightful on why others may not have shown up this year as well..
    In short, Thank you Coachella.

He did say that two of his collegues who run some other food stands that were not at Coachella, will be at StageCoach. So if your going to StageCoach, you may find that food vendor that you liked, but missed out on.

I paid 8 bucks for a polish sausage on a bun... and $6 for a watered down strawberry lemonade; so someone is making some freaking money.

My Tofu Wraps stayed the same price, and just as delicious. I swear they added more tofu I had chunks the size of bricks in there...I was very satisfied.

I think Ragey wins for spending the most money on food and lemonade

How much does tofu cost anyway? Like five cents a pound?

it costs a shitload of money to provide services to the vendors, power, water, reefers, etc, the vendor fees are high yes, but they make metric ass tons of money that weekend...

they just bitch kuz thats what vendors do, funny people bitch about the economy, and then don't want to put in the work to be successful...

the vendors provide a profit line that is super important to the fest, and if they jack prices up, they will still find vendors to do it, your freinds are cheap, sorry dude...

they did NOT jack up prices for US...and that is who I care about...

Vendor prices were higher on some things. For instance in years past i would get the chicken on a stick with rice and noodels for $9 this year it was like $14. More high end stuff and gourmet stuff too. I think I paid $9 for a cheesburger as well.

I paid $7 for a shitty slice of Stuft Pizza... It was TINY; about the size of a Papa Johns slice.

The only other booth I ate at was the Organic booth, and at least that was healthy and tasty.... and the same price as last year.

I always ask for a second lemon in that lemonade. Jacks it up a notch. For free.

My first slice of Spicy Pie was so bad that I didn't go back the whole weekend, not even for Cookie Pie. I was bummed, because usually Spicy Pie rocks.

I ended up with a decent gyro (why do they say tzatzkiki sauce when it is clearly creamy italian dressing?) one night and a delicious chicken shwarma sandwich the next. Both were only seven bucks. And I had some good four dollar tacos as a snack.

I had an iced tea in the main food court that tasted way more like coffee than the iced coffee I had in the outdoor/gobi food court did. But Sunday I went to get iced espresso from the bad tea place and I mentioned that the tea tasted like coffee and she gave me my espresso drink for free. And it was tasty. So that was cool.

Chinese food is the worst investment at Coachella: you'll just be hungry again in an hour.

Yeah, a lot of great vendors were gone, and some really awful ones sprung up this year.

VIP's got cheaper Sambazon and Gatorade, go figure.
