they both definitely surprised me with their performance. when i saw dj-am at hard halloween it was just a "meh" sort of experience. but i gotta say, for coachella...him and travis pulled it together and made it very memorable.

I was so wrong about TRAVISDJAM. I listened to it from the beer garden it was goin off. I'm glad I was there.

I wasn't there for the entire set so I don't know if Travis started shooting sparks out of his ass while he played "All the Small Things" or some shit.

I went over there to see if the next show was on. AM was playing Waters of Nazareth and Travis was playing drums on top of it. If that's cool then I'm Jesus with sunglasses.

Honestly I went into the festival with a total dickbag attitude about them. But I will admit that I was wrong, they put on a hell of a show.

Does it require a lot of talent? No.
Is it basically another version of Girl Talk? Yes.
Did they get the tent jumpin' n' pumpin'? YES.

I thought it was pretty dope but I was not excited for it and didn't think it'd be so good. But they did extremely well. My expectations were low because of the videos and also because Travis Barker is actually a really good drummer and the drumming in the videos was so mediocore, same with the Sahara performance. What made it so awesome was how excellent their choice of songs were compared to the youtube videos and the excellent mixing I heard.

they definitely had the whole crowd going. i think part of it had to do with the fact that theyre just coming out of that plane crash. i for one, was rooting for them although i didn't know what to expect going in. however, set list was amazing. i do agree that it just seemed like dj am could have done the whole thing without travis. i read somewhere that travis barker cant feel his left hand so maybe that had something to do with it. regardless, you cant really go wrong mixing classic artists like "the who" and "michael jackson."

I caught one of the drumsticks waiting for the next show. Someone said I should throw it back on stage, and it sounded like a great idea. What I saw of that set was actually pretty lame... one of the worst all weekend.
