I would like to start off by saying Aoki is not a musical talent but a kid who's father has money--Ever heard of Benihana?. That's why he calls himself "Kid Millionaire". With money--Comes what may and that was his desire to be all and all of the scene he was into. That does not equate talent. He just had the time and money to network and had people willing to promote his crap a la Dim Mak.

If you have ever been to Dim Mak Tuesdays in Hollywood @ Cinespace, Aoki's set blows horse dicks. He has no idea what the art of DJing is and never has. 30 second snipits of a song you like, butchered by a horrible cross fade into a crappy mash up.

Now even though the Ed Banger crew is a revolving door of the same cast of characters of Dim Mak--it is just and only a compilation of the same network of folk who do the same music. I like the Beetroots, Crookers, Jack Beats sound but I would gladly give it all up for a decent OG House Music line up in the Sahara.

So, Aoki this one is for you.....

Please... leave the good music to the real talent and never come back to Coachella!!! Like EVER!!!!

I just think it's the people who don't buy into Aoki's non-sense that started gladly handed out all the free "Hatorade".

Aoki is a decent DJ as far as I have heard, but I am not a big "DJ" fan in general. DJs spin other peoples music. I would rather see alive band playing its own original music.

Aoki is a terrible DJ. When he played coachella he wrecked matching beats multiple times... on serato. Then he crashed his setup. His track selection was terrible, clashing, was playing tracks he wanted to hear instead of anything related to crowd response. He played benny benassi satisfaction.

I never see DJs at Coachella, so while I missed Daft Punk's "legendary" set, I also missed Aoki.

The Sahara was a hot mess. This was up there in terms of awkward along with that naked, hippie-wizard dude waving the micro-penis and getting tased for it. Next time Aoki's at Coachella, it better be selling hotdogs and staying the fuck out the Sahara.

Ok, nothing is wrong with playing a metal set. Thats fine, metal can be super dope.....

Why he should be banned is because he is a talentless fuck. His dad owns Benny Hanas, therefor he has had the money to get his name out and get good publicity for doing jack shit. Thats why he should be banned. He isnt a good DJ and no DJ actually respects him.

Also, Aoki is fun. You don't watch him for his DJ Skillz, you watch him raft-surf and you dance.

Checking out the cute girls huddling backstage doing blow is always good times too.

I don't find her that attractive. There are lots of cuter hipster girls. There are also cuter girls who do coke regularly. I know, I've dated both.

Also, you guys might hate on Aoki, but he didn't make a name for himself because of his dad, he made a name for himself cuz he was the first person to sign Bloc Party, Battles, The Bloody Beetroots, not to mention a bunch of other artists. Dim Mak is a bad ass label. You guys are fucking stupid if you don't realize that he helped revive a completely dead scene in LA... or just too young to remember how it once was and subsequently died.

It's not about "hey, it gets people dancing." idiots will dance to anything.

what you want is that feeling where you never want to leave, just stand right there and live in that tent for the rest of your life because that show you just saw could hypothetically provide all the sustenance you need.

That feeling will never come from Aoki or anyone of his ilk.

There's this guy at my school who's a DJ; one day he posted on his Facebook status saying that he wished he was Steve Aoki. Lol!
