OFFICIAL Coachella 2009 Camping Slip 'n Slide Thread

Hey campers! I just wanted to thank everybody for making our slip 'n slide a success this year!!! It was a refreshing way to cool down during the hot days and meet other campers. I also wanted to recognize and thank "Lucky," the shower/hose man, who made sure that we had an adequate supply of cold water for our slide. LUCKY ROCKS! I was hoping to get some pictures posted on this thread- so PLEASE share some of the awesome moments that we shared together on this wet contraption. I already have some new water activities planned for next year! And I intended to go shopping at the local Costco for significantly more Rice Krispie Treats to award the "Full Slide Finishers" for next years Fest.

It's anti-bacterial dish soap so that we don't get each other's cooties and it makes the slider go FASTER!

At first I questioned the reasoning for using Purel or other anti-bacterial soap as a lubricant as it would surely irritate/burn your eyes......until i saw that pic.

How could anyone forget this one?!

BULLSHIT!!! We never used coolers because we got in good with the water guy in the beginning- as I stated previously! And the only thing I'm taking credit for is showing people a means to bond and have a good time together. And WE brought and used the anti-bacterial dish soap first- don't you remember your shaved bar of bath soap? I do. Did you give out krispie treats as well? Probably not. There ended up being a couple of Slides by the end of the weekend- imitation is the sincerest form of flattery- so thank you for imitating OUR awesome idea!

I met petshop kids and their 25 foot long slip n slide put out early friday. The one and only that day. It was such a hit that on saturday, a few others brought a 100 foot slip and slide to add to that to make the ultimate slip n slide. Thanks a bunch petshopkids! petshopkids provided us with entertainment, a great water guy so generous in providing us with water, a bubble machine, and lots of soap to make a fast ride. Plus we got free rice krispie treats for making it to the finish line.

It was such a hit that on saturday, a few others brought a 100 foot slip and slide to add to that to make the ultimate slip n slide.
