On Thursday night, who was it that spun the dubstep remix of "Ghost Town" by The Specials? Because that was such an awesome remix. Tons of fun.

SAMXL on the decks, DJG on the buttons!

Have y'all heard Skream's Klaxons remix?

good for converting 'Chella heads into bass lovers.

On the whole other end of the spectrum, here's my favorite track from 2008.
Never gets old... you best have a subwoofer connected for this one, sounds way better on wax

SAMXL was the big ass dude DJing. That Ghost Town remix is by DJG, I don't think it's by the Antiserum

check out ULTRABLACK. they are from Phoenix and have been dropping big things in dubstep scene for a while now.

not a big fan of dubstep just not my thing. to mellow and gets boring too quick. the only thing that draws people is bass. I hate how every drum and bass dj just decided that they were going to start producing dubstep and it all became shit production. and playing a dnb set then deciding to play dubstep in the middle just isn't cool to me. the same people that said the hated wobble or clownstep are the people that are eating this new fad up. dubstep=wobble in most cases. i like wobble(clipz, hazard, TC, etc) just not too much. rusko, benga, skream, juju, TC, and ultrablack are the only dubstep i can tolerate in short doses. who knows maybe one day Ill convert but ill keep a distance for now.

Kode 9 was so good. I really enjoyed it along with the other 20 or so people that were in the dome during his set.

And if you are intersted in a quick intro to dubstep you might want to check out the compilations

Box Of Dub: Dubstep And Future Dub
    and
Box Of Dub 2: Dubstep And Future Dub

There's a lot of variety there. I haven't actually checked out box 2 but the first one was pretty solid.

    Crookers dropped Eastern Jam...

08 was the year of electro, and I said, "watch, next year they are going to do this with dubstep." Not quite, but still a big presence...

Pretty Lights. Over 40 songs for free download. A lot of it is lounge/downtempo/jazzy stuff, but there is also a grip of d-step and it's like nothing I've heard. Some hard, some soft. After hearing all of the d-step at Coach I was kind of on the fence, but Pretty Lights fixed that! I'm even thinking of going to Bonaroo or Rothbury just to see him.
