YES. I'm really looking forward to their set, one of the main reasons I'm going on Sunday. Underrated much?

Loved loved loved this set. Anton was pretty subdued, but the music was sweet.
Favorite moment was having a "band meeting" right in the middle of the set.

He had a lot of guys who have played with him in the past there. Maybe he actually realized what a great opportunity it is to play Coachella and made nice with his old friends and the rest of the band in order to put on a good show.

I though Anton would go off on Joel after he his tambourine almost hit him. That set was one of the highlights of my weekend.

7/24 Stephen Malkmus/Entrance Band @ Henry Miller Library
8/8 Underworld @ Hard Summer (maybe)
8/28-30 Beastie Boys/Ween/Modest Mouse @ Outside Lands Festival

I loved that they brought out Zia for "Not If You Were The Last Dandy On Earth"

It's been there from the beginning.. the weak Britpop headliners Friday; the rumors that DP was gonna play, that it was a done deal, then all of a sudden 'oops, no, not gonna happen'; and now the new album. It's all so obvious.

I got to say hi to Joel after MBV. He punched me in the arm.
    Whiskey Sour

    2 oz blended whiskey
    Juice of 1/2 lemon
    1/2 tsp powdered sugar
    1 cherry
    1/2 slice lemon

Shake blended whiskey, juice of lemon, and powdered sugar with ice and strain into a whiskey sour glass. Decorate with the half-slice of lemon, top with the cherry, and serve.

I had always wanted to see them, since I'm an SF, CA native. I saw a good half of their set and they didn't dissappoint. Glad I was there.
