UMMM guys I think you are mistaken. Girl Talk is the "new wave" of music. Basically he is interpolating various sources of media and entertainment into a single mind-blowing musical experience that will easily surpass Daft Punk. His ability to masterfully meld a rap song with the O.C. theme puts him into the upper echelon of musical talent in the last few centuries as far as I am concerned.

No man I'm just really glad Girl Talk came out with Night Ripper, it's the only way I can listen to (c)rap music.

Girl Talk live is like a dance club with all your favorite tracks remixed in cool weird ways. The live show remixes the original samples from the album (sort of like DP did in 06) so you end up with music you know in a whole new way.

A local weekly said this about the Girl Talk show:

If someone had told me five years ago that I’d be watching 500 people lose their minds, rush the stage, mosh, and crowdsurf to one dude playing a laptop I might’ve laughed at them

Yeah kind of apples and oranges here...I really enjoy Girl Talk's mixes but expecting it to equal Daft Punk's performance from last year is never gonna happen...

Night Ripper is good times.

He'll do a Wizard of Oz man behind the curtain hyping up of the crowd. Then he'll play various clips that say "girl talk" over and over. Then he'll walk up and play the intro Ciara - "Goodies" loop from Night Ripper. Then he'll layer Beyonce's "Ring the Alarm" over that loop. Then it'll continue on as Night Ripper continues for a couple minutes... etc...
