    Woo Hoo! Go Goldenvoice!

no matter what you say about Rage, They're better than TOOL. Especially for our audience.

Bjork, Nothing to say about that, glad to have her back, because i didn't go to her coachella.

Red Hot Chilli Peppers are 10x better than depeche mode. Sorry but they are. I'll know more of the songs. And they put on an Amazing show

admit it you hipsters, coachella is back in coachella form.

    p.s. fuck the arctic monkeys

All 3 headliners have headlined before though. I would have liked one suprise though. i'll take Bowie for the Peppers. That would have been sometime.

I wont say that until I see the full lineup. Last year's lineup as a whole was fuckin insane, I was running around like a crazy person. I'll make my decision then

Yeah, last year had 3 of my top 5 favorite bands (Sigur Ros, Mogwai, and Tool). This year's shaping up to be fantastic so far, but "best ever" is going to be hard to pull off.

I was pleasantly surprised by Depeche Mode and Tool last year, so I ain't hatin on the lineup until after I've witnessed it! But I do agree, so far this year looks better.

last year's line up was pretty insane...not big on ratm and rhcp...bjork and interpol yes...and it would be great if police played...maybe some good up and coming bands...most of the bands have already played coachella...but no matter what i'm still going..

Whoa whoa whoa... slow down there, chief. How can that determination be made already. Since when has the qulaity of a festival been determined solely by the headliners. It's usually the breakout performances (Arcade Fire), the unexpectedly radical (Air), and second-liners (Daft Punk) that make it awesome. The one exception, of course, being in 2004.

Extremely underwhelmed by this year so far. I think 2004-2006 were the golden years, sadly. Now all GV can do is recycle past performers...

last year was fun, but there weren't many stand outs for me in the big names. I left Depeche Mode very quickly (never have been a big fan), and Tool was underwhelming. I don't care a whole lot about RHCP (although I agree regarding them over depeche mode, for the fun factor alone).

However Bjork is the best news I've had in a while. RATM should be a blast too.

i did see daft punk and sigur ros. unfortunately I missed mogwai (although I've seen them many times before). I have to admit I'm not a big Daft Punk fan, a little to bubble gum for my taste, but I certainly had a great time dancing.

Sigur ros was good as always, but the performance faded quickly after seeing them a few days later in an opera house back up in seattle.

sad if true so far (for top headliners) but hopefully, more awesome new & old bands (who never performed in Coachella) will be added later

    maybe GV tried and failed

sounds like he did and went back to his old reliables

If it's their one and only show, I would imagine it would be quite a draw. But who knows.

Yeah I'm being too hard. Coachella is still the best music festival in the world as far as I'm concerned. There will undoubtedly be a lot of acts worth checking out this year, I'm sure of it. I just won't be there, I've decided to go to Chicago in March instead, just for the hell of it (will be checking out Ken Andrews and IAMX while I'm there, though). And I'm hurting for cash this year, so I guess I'll just save up for 2008. Which will probably be the return of Radiohead and possibly the Cure. Since 4 years is apparently enough time to recycle headliners. And they have been two of Coachella's biggest.

I was underwhelmed and rather disappointed at first, but after spending some time thinking it through, it's quite interesting.

Dying to see or somewhat curious about:
    JARVIS COCKER
    Arcade Fire
    Air
    Rage Against the Machine
    Bjork
    Willie Nelson
    The Decemberists
    Sonic Youth
    Crowded House
The Good the Bad the Queen
    Travis
    Blonde Redhead (presumably)
    Explosions in the Sky (presumably)
    Girl Talk
    !!!
    LCD Soundsystem

    Maybe I'm being too harsh:
RHCP (I do like a lot of their older songs but I'm also very much not liking Stadium Arcadium and think it's way too soon for them, or anyone, to headline again)

My only concerns right now are worthwhile Sahara tent headliners and the best of the up and coming indie rock act like Islands, Asobi Seksu, Sufjan Stevens, The Knife, Emily Haines, Final Fantasy, etc.
