Of course ghengis tron and mastodon will have pits, but who else....for my plans as of now i think the most moshable band im seeing is superchunk but i wouldn't rely on them to be my only pit action lol. anyway, what over bands do you think will have pits?

yea i was really disappointed. they gave like a minute of instructions before the song as well. heres a clip of about half his instructions, funny as hell. its great when heavy bands actually have a sense of humor



anyway i'll stop hijacking this thread now. if there are any pits at coachella i'm thinking i'll stay out of them, tho i'd love to slow motion hardcore dance to someone completely inappropriate

But there will be no moshing at No Age, that's like moshing to Sonic Youth or MBV. You don't mosh just because it's loud and distorted. No Age is way too indie.

control. Is this something my friends and I need to be concerned about? I'm old (59) compared to the overall crowd. At 6'2" 225lbs I can hold my own but I don't want to be enjoying the music and get clobberd.

Coincidentally, that was around the time I saw a mosh pit at a They Might Be Giants show.

There was a time when a mosh pit was pretty much just running in a circle, no violence, just a silly activity that happened at EVERY show. Hell, I've "moshed" to Hoodoo Gurus.

The pit at Gogol Bordello last year was the most fun I had the entire weekend. It was also ... gentler ... than the pit at their show at Hardly Strictly Bluegrass.
