Thursday Night Pre-Parties - Where at?

Okay, in years past we had many different preparties to choose from. There were mini-rock fests at local bars for smaller bands that wanted to get some attention and there were the magazine sposored parties like SPIN and FILTER... and we know what has happened to these. We got spoiled for choice and then they all disappeared or are severely limited.

So I am starting this thread in hopes people post other options.

Even suggestions on where to look or excellent bars in the area would be appreciated.

Thanks for the recommendation all the same but I am looking for something for us townies.

I did the campgrounds for many years, but since the cops busted up the Canadian drum circle with a fucking helicopter and 50 squad cars (WTF) I lost my appetite for such things.

Being a townie, shouldnt you be in the know on where to go... I was gonna suggest the campgrounds to being that they are gonna have some shizz goin on thursday night. A couple acts at the dome should be fun.

In past years, the Motel 6 parking lots have been off/on as far as parties. Some years shit is poppin', and other years it's quiet and lame.

So the dome...is it in the campground? I've never seen this exclusive camper dome party or anything similar to it.
