Every now and then when I'm at a show, I stop and think to myself "Holy shit, I can't believe _____ is on stage playing in front of me right now.
How many times and for who will this happen to you over the course of the weekend at Coachella?

I've had countless wet dreams about seeing Steve Aoki in person.
This has been my desktop background since the day the lineup came out..

I'd say sigur ros and daft punk in 06 both got that reaction from me.
Aphex Twin...holy shit still cant get over it
Bittersweet Symphony & Purple Rain last year.
anything could happen
probably seeing leonard cohen at the outdoor at sunset
Probably when you're standing in front of a fucking Beatle.
Aphex Twin and Roger Waters, mainly because I was so freaking close to the guy,
Leonard Cohen definitely, Paul McCartney of course.
Robert Smith probably but it won't hit me till they start playing Lullaby or Love Song or something. Probably same deal with Morrissey. I guess once they hit 70 they'll be in the other category haha.
I think maybe Chemical bros, TV on the Radio, Thievery Corporation could all give me a little tingling in my pants too. And even though I've seen them, YYYs and MBV. And Mike Patton.
Ron Paul 2012!
Upcoming Shows:
Four Tet
Coachella 4/20-4/22
Death Cab for Cutie/Magik Magik Orchestra
Radiohead
some other bands
Wish You Were Here last year.
I fucking broke down.
LIL' B
Past:
Rage
Portishead
Radiohead (not at Coachella but still)
Bad Religion (Still get it)
Future:
McCartney (Beatle factor)
Moz
The Chemical Brothers
Etienne's cube
Yeah Yeah Yeahs
My Bloody Valentine
i cried like a wussy lady through about half of the arcade fire in 07. I've had so many moments that blew me away, though... Spiritualized, when they finally hit their groove (last year?), Roger waters when the big speakers boomed in, Prince, and Gogol Bordello in 07. And honestly, being in the middle of that surging crowd for Arcade Fire in 06 is the happy place, the spot of pure love and joy, that I go to in my head whenever I'm having a bad day. Moments like that are what keep me connected to art, and why I look forward to Coachella with such anticipation all year long.
1999 - 2013, every day, every weekend, no regrets
Portishead. Im not sure exactly why but that performance was unreal for me.
Past:
Pixies making their fans dreams come true and then making many more fans in the process by absolutely killing it
Radiohead doing what they do better than everyone else
everybody losing it to Arcade Fire on the outdoor theater at sunset
Hafsol->Untitled 8 at sunset
the robots and the pyramid revealed
Liz Fraser singing "Teardrop"
Jarvis Cocker taking the stage in the most epic way: busting sweet dance moves and throwing candy
Bjork and the fucking reactable
everybody around me losing their shit as Rage took the stage and went into "Bulls on Parade"
"Bittersweet Symphony"
Portishead in general
Prince finally coming out, then Morris Day & Jerome doing "Jungle Love", then "Creep", then "Purple Rain" and "Let's Go Crazy"
"Wish You Were Here", the pig and the flames, the recreation of the DSOTM cover, everyone singing along to "Another Brick in the Wall", "Comfortably Numb" and the fireworks at the end
Next weekend:
Paul McCartney and the fireworks for "Live and Let Die", hopefully "A Day in the Life", etc
My Bloody Valentine raping our ears with the holocaust
"How Soon Is Now?"
"Hallelujah"
the cube
sigur ros at sunset
The Pixies perfomance and all of Prince's set. I still get goosebumps everytime I remember those two performances. Wow!!!!!!
I loved this too- I didn't know I could totally lose rational thought over a band until that moment - but the first song they played was "Testify."
When Zack grabbed the mic and said, "Good evening, we are Rage Against The Machine from Los Angeles," all of a sudden I was like one of those girls at a Beatles concert. Only with more bro-tastic guys smashing into me from all sides.
I'm sure there are some on the board who will think less of me for being that worked up over Rage, but I'm not ashamed. If Rage hadn't played that year, it might have been years before I decided to come to Coachella for the first time, and that would have been a tremendous loss for me even if I didn't know it.
Rage????? Meh.
They were a far better band in the 90's, now.....Meh.
Rage fucking ruled! Rage was Coachella that year. Apologies to Arcade Fire and Gogol Bordello.

Did I call this, or did I call it?
Anyway, I kind of lost it at Roger Waters last year too, no matter the shit Randy talks about that show. It was a really special moment.
And Sia too, actually... "Breathe Me" was an unbelievably powerful finish to her show. Extremely moving.
After Modeselektor blew my mind and then we walked up on this fucking scene:
