Whats better the three hour wilco show or free hot chocolate... that's the toughest decision I've ever pondered.

They played three hours every night of the residency so it was a win win for the night two folks.

I see in the near future a crisis approaching that unnerves me and causes me to tremble for the safety of my country. . . . corporations have been enthroned and an era of corruption in high places will follow, and the money power of the country will endeavor to prolong its reign by working upon the prejudices of the people until all wealth is aggregated in a few hands and the Republic is destroyed.

New album in a month and not a single new song played. I love it. I wonder at which point they will start throwing them into the mix.

Summerteeth is probably the better album of the two, but I love them both so you can do no wrong on that choice.
What makes you think you know how much Sky Blue Sky is going to be played at Roo?

Wilco w/Grizzly Bear has to be the best combo for a single night show. anyone else have something else?

I still like Calexico better than Grizzly Bear as they have a fuller catalog and that combo was one of the best shows ever seen.

    So, IMO Wilco/Calexico > Wilco/Grizzly Bear

I'll see how I feel after the show though.

Summerteeth is like Norman Bates and Sky Blue Sky is like Oprah Winfrey.

That is the winner...but Explosions in the Sky/No Age/Eluvium is pretty damn good as well.

Edit: Didn't know you meant just Wilco shows.

Maybe you will like Sky Blue Sky Salah, but Summerteeth is way better. Songs of drugs, killing girlfriends and it takes you though all different emotions while rocking hard.

If you want wicked poetry you start with Via Chicago, if you want wild crazy love songs then go to "i'm always in love" or maybe you just want some straight forward rock like "ELT" or poppy rock like "Candy Floss".

Give it a little wipe, sometimes that helps. If not, just go to sky blue sky but keep your expectations low. Some highlites are Nels ultra jazzy guitar solos in You are My Face and Impossible Germany. It's more layed back than Summerteeth.

Sky Blue Sky has some really great songs on it. but lyrically it gets a little too 12-Steppish for my tastes. "Please Be Patient With Me". "Leave Me Like You Found Me". Each a perfectly earnest soft rocker.

Im listening to Handshake Drugs now and it makes me feel all warm inside. I WILL get to know Wilco before Bonnaroo goddammit
