If you find yourself with a last-minute extra 3 day pass, and don't really care about the money, please consider sending it my way. I absolutely do not have any money, but I got the time off from work. Maybe we can work out a deal of somesort.
I know this is a longshot, but it doesn't hurt to ask.

"i took the time off work... but i'm broke... so give me a ticket. i won't be working that weekend and subsequently not making money. this will probably cause me to be unable to attend the next coachella, causing me to beg on the boards again. oh wait, if i went to coachella i wouldn't be making money at that point in time either..."

i'm sorry you can't attend... but... really?

A few tricks could finance Coachella... depending on how cute you are. Just saying.

I am open and receptive to receive the gifts of a generous Universe.
Say whatever you want. I am willing to bet that someone will offer me a ticket without any strings attached.
I will let you all know, and I will be completely honest about it.

It's not like that. I am an adult. I have a job. I also have a son that I'm supporting-he has 2 fractured vertebrae from a car accident, and the State is jerking him around on his disability claim. I have made 2 payments for his motorcycle so he doesn't lose it. blah, blah, blah.
I went to Coachella 2 years ago, and it was a transformational experience. Like for so many others, it's been a hard year, and I could use a break. There are people in the world for whom money is not an issue. I am generous when I can be. I donate my time and money all the time. I just don't have it for myself right now.
You don't know unless you ask, so I asked.

honestly, dude, if you'd come on here, and explained that, and said "so anyone who wants to help a working mom make it to coachella, here's your chance", I'd have probably ponied up a few bucks through paypal, even though I'm very broke.

yeah, this is not an awful cause, but i could sense the necessary explanation from afar.

we, however, are in literally the same boat. your son's disability issues cost you money, mine cost me money. sucks. brokechella, whatever. i'm trying to scalp my way in saturday.

Hmmm, that's a drag. Hope everything works out for you in the end. Finding a scalped ticket on the cheap at ~5pm might be the way to go.

Yeah, sometimes a sob story works way better than begging!

    here is how it works

    "give me 5 Dolla!"

people respond like "hahahaha yeah no"

"i'll suck yo dick for 5 dolla!"

people respond like "hahahaha yeah no" and then send you pm's with generous offers

"my life has crumbled, lost my job, my kid is hurt, i love coachella, and i just can't go, i need 5 dollars please!"

people respond with hugs, generous offers, understanding, and a little bit of trolling...(its the internet, trolling is half the fun!)

This is not meant to be unkind. I also believe one can tap into the abundance and generousity of the universe... But, this isn't "Queen For A Day". Okay, I'm dating myself with that one. But, my point is that many people here are looking for discounted tickets due to their own difficult circumstances, many of which probably match or top yours... but, they aren't asking for a free 3 day pass. Okay, and you are correct, for that reason, they probably won't get one either. But, I ask, is a one day pass insufficient? It just sounds greedy. This ad kind of reminds me of some ads I've seen asking for people's old gold and silver. And, if you plan to get your pass with, as you stated, "no strings attached", does that discount your offer that "maybe we can work something out"? Well, it doesn't make a difference to me, I'm still looking to buy a couple of tickets myself. Just had to speak my peace (MusicPeace that is). Good luck to you.

Geez. What someone else does or doesn't do has nothing to do with me. And the "three day pass" as opposed to a one day pass- It's not greedy. I didn't say, "if you have a 3 day VIP pass and a cabana that you won't be using" THAT would have been pushing it. I put it out there-I have the time (which for me is usually much harder to get), so I simply put out the request.
I find it interesting that some people have had such a strong reaction to my post. I have been to sporting events, (like the World Series), or to concerts that is the hottest ticket at the time. I even worked at a concert/sports venue for a few years. No matter how hard the ticket is to get, I always saw empty seats in the venue. Yes, alot of them, probably most of them, were unsold tickets from scalpers, but alot of the time stuff just happens and at the last minute someone can't go. Once I had baseball playoff tickets, but 2 people could not go. I stopped at a sports bar on the way to the stadium and asked the bartender if he knew of 2 people there that he thought would like to go to the game. He did, and I went up to them and asked them if they wanted to see the game in person. Hell yeah, they did, and I handed them over to them. So, I know first hand that this type of thing happens, because I've made it happen. It's that simple.
Thanks, btw-to those people that were supportive. I know that when you post here, there's a chance that you'll be shredded by some. It was nice to finally see a few people that didn't chime in just to pass judgement.

    Still looking.......

This just occurred to me. If someone is coming from out of state (with an extra 3 day pass), but you still have not arranged for how you'll get here, I may be able to use one of my airline passes to fly you here. I am a "guest" of an employee of a major airline. This means that I have flight priviledges, but more importantly, (if I ask nicely), sometimes I can get a pass for another person. There is a fee to the airline involved and you would fly on standby. I have never been bumped from a flight, and the fee part would have to be negotiated.
    Let me know...........

isnt it amazing that sometimes all you ever have to do is ask.
