Week 1 (car & tent camping) officially sold out during pre-sale. Now that's sick, but I guess you can still crash a campsite. I'll be going 2nd week with a few cars if there are any super super procrastinators, good luck tomorrow!

I am planning on scooping a Companion Pass to park my car and hopefully finding someone who has room on their Camping spot for 3 people. Any takers???

Yeah, it's kinda hard to procrastinate now that tickets sell out during presale!

The last few years we've had a lot people wanting to crash our site, which would be cool, except that we just don't have the extra space with the group being as small as it is now. I figured I might as well post that notice so that we don't have to feel like we're rejecting people outright.

For any campers that DO have a camping pass and want a cool group of peeps to chill with, we're always looking for friendly new faces!

Seconded! It's much better to have someone in CA do the organizing, and Kevin's just the man for it.

CHECKING IN, TO ONCE AGAIN GRACE YOU ALL WITH MY LAMENESS.

I'm bringing 2 car camping passes and (including myself) 3 or 4 people total.

Non-SoCal people, who's coming? When do you get here? Do we want to try to get in line earlier this year?

I don't know yet as I need to talk to my husband about finances. But if I do, I'll fly out on Weds and will either ask for Weds night crash space or get a hotel and ask for a Thursday hotel rendezvous

Same meeting place as last time seems logical; we can figure out the exact time closer to the event. I'm down for getting there earlier if schedules permit. I'm guessing that Rob will be the only one flying in, unless we get some new people. Has anyone heard from Lou?

Hi Wild_Wing, you're welcome to join our group if you have a car camping pass. I'll send out the meetup info once the event gets closer.

Awesome I just figure after all these years of going I've never interacted with the community. Right now I have potentially 2 other cars with the people I go with every year. What's the usual meet up time for you all, because I'd like to at least get a decent spot in Lot 8.

Historically we've gotten to the check-in line around Noon-2ish. Last year we tried to meet earlier (I think 10?), but because of flights we didn't get to the line until later. 5/6am is probably earlier than most of the group would like, I'd guess, as most of us will be driving a few hours to get there. I'm curious though, if you were there last year when they opened the camping gates, how long were the lines when they opened?

Whose was that? I flew in on Wednesday, from what I recall.

Two years ago we were in Lot 5. Last year, even going in when we did, we managed to swing Lot 8.

I don't remember, maybe it wasn't a flight. Maybe Joy had to pick up someone? I remember I was there first and we waited around for a few hours for everyone to show up. Side note: Ralph's sushi is delicious!

I feel you on this one. I had to bring a small 2 man tent + portable toilet last year for use as a personal porto pottie for my other half. It actually helped since we were in Lot 4 & the amenities were few and far between. if u have the room, i highly recommend it

Hey everyone. I know this is a long shot but i was in the original procrastinators group back in 2009. I tried to meet up with you guys the last 2 years but it never really works out. Anyway im gonna buy a companion parking pass tomorrow and if any of you remember me and want to take me in that would be so awesome. I'll bring a tiny little tent, a nice canopy, chairs, lights and whatever i can bring to not be a burden. I was gonna do the whole hotel thing this year but my group fell apart. so let me know. Thanks!

I actually got there around two last year and they ended up putting us as the first group in lot 4 it was quite miserable every other year we've been in 10 and haven't been able to enjoy lot 8 since 09 before they had car camping
