Hi, guys!
Thanks for sweet message. I miss hungint out with you Jake and Robert!
I wish I can go, but I am not sure. It is hard to take day off at my work, especially, there are long holidays in end of April and begining of May.
I will let you know!

That's pretty funny. According to Last Call (a history of prohibition published last year), during prohibition, you could get a prescription for medicinal alcohol as treatment for relatively vague and ill-defined medical disorders (sounds a lot like medical marijuana today). Walgreens got its start as a chain specializing in serving the medicinal alcohol market.

Hey Hey guys! Just jumping on to try and get an idea when everyone is coming down on Thursday so we can figure out a decent time to all meet at the Ralphs on Monroe (think thats the street its on) Last year we met around 12 and got in pretty quick and got a really good space so I would like to meet around that time if possible!

Hopefully everyone still checks the thread... Just let me know if that will work for you guys!

CAN'T WAIT GETTING CLOSER!!!!

I'm still not sure how it's gonna look to get down there. In the best case, I leave work at 3 on Wednesday and spend the night in Joshua Tree. More likely, I leave around 5 and spend the night in Gorman or Lancaster or something. Either way, I'm aiming to get in around noonish, if that's the plan.

Last year was a really great spot, as we were right next to the entrance and the port o' potties, and because everyone kept tearing down the fence, it made the walk to the entrance even shorter.

I've got all day Thursday, so I'll be there as early as anyone else is willing to be there. Noon sounds fine.

Now, what about community logistics? Who brought the EZ-up and tarps last year (I brought one of the tarps, I'll bring it again).

Noon sounds good to me too. I have an extra canopy that we could use, and still have that giant tent we got last year. My friends bailed on me, so i have room in my car if anyone needs a ride. Has anyone heard from Lou?

Yeah, he sent a couple of us a facebook message back when tickets went on sale. He's not gonna be able to make it this year, alas. :{

Manolo: I totally forgot about that HUGE ass tent the Aussies left last year! Party tent hahaha

I may have ONE more 3 day pass for sale my sister bailed out!! So if you guys know anyone who needs it PM me for the price!!

I took the California Republic flag in 09 and left it with Ed because I left a day early. He held on to it and we had it up again last year but it was in pretty bad shape by the time I left Monday morning. I won't be camping with the group this year but if Ed still has it I can pick it up and you guys are more than welcome to use it again. If he doesn't have it I can probably get my hands on a new one.

I am ok, but earthquke hit my area. I am not living by coast, so there
was no tsunami. There are still more than 10 thousand people are
missing. There are still many after shocks, and now fukushima radioactivity.
It is hard to be positive in this situation. I talk to people everyday, and they
told me that the tsunami came to 10 km and hard to escape.

anyway, thanks for worrying about me.
