Okay, then YES I would like to borrow your tent for the weekend. Thank you so much! Just let me know before April 8th if something happens and I can't use it haha.

    Here's the current list:

    Weekend #: 0001

    Cool Peeps:
    ibuprofane +1
    manolo +1
    aphrael
    grifter
    FelonyFruitFlinger +2
    jgafs
    Lucy42
    Joy
    Wild_Wing (maybe)

Tracts of land: 7 or 8

If you're not on the list AND have a car camping pass, introduce yourself and I'll add you to the list! I'll send out the meetup info and a request for phone numbers closer to the event, but if you want to send it now it wouldn't hurt.

    Let's get some pre-planning going!

What time does everyone want to meet up at? Does anyone have any special considerations to account for (e.g. flights, school, work, parole)? I'm ok for whatever time, though I'd prefer to meet sometime around 9 or 10am Thursday morning.

Who's bringing a shade canopy? I'm bringing 2; the more shade, the better.

Anything else important that I didn't mention?

I can meet up whenever, but I'd prefer not super early- I will be driving out from San Diego in the AM.

Where do you guys meet up?

Once you get a better list of who is bringing what, I can pick up some needed items on Wed when I stop by Target. (I don't have a shade tent though.)

i got a canopy, the shade kind as well. We need a appropriate enough space to chill under.

Im all for arriving early, last time we didnt hit the lines till like 1pm, and got in like 4, or 430 if i remember right, which i dont.

This is the first time I will be arriving before the sun goes down on Thursday! Very exciting.

We have a standard, not-so-secret meetup location that I'll send out via PM. No worries about the shade tent, we've got you covered (pun intended).

I got 2 canopies, one for each of our 2 spots. And all the rest of my usual campsite awesomeness. This'll be my best year yet. You'll see.

I'd say you can't pick a meetup time too early for me, but we're driving from San Diego so I'd vote 9-9:30. Let's see what happens if we're in line before 11.

Rob, when does your flight land?

    The software really doesn't want to let me reply with quote, sadly. :{

I'm agnostic as to start time on Thursday. If someone can pick me up in Ontario or Riverside (my flight comes in Weds, and I'll overnight in a hotel) (Riverside is easyish to get to by public transit from Ontario), I can be there at any time; I can realistically get to the Indio greyhound around 10.40 and then to Ralph's, etc, by around noon (having walked from the greyhound).

I think arriving around 10, then getting ice, food, etc. and aiming to get in line by 11 is probably the best plan, as long as someone can pick Rob up.

Rob, unfortunately I don't think I'll be able to fit 3 people plus gear in a Mazda 3 hatch, but if no one else can fit you then we can try to cram. Too bad you're not flying into LAX; looks like they have shuttles now :/

Ontario/Riverside is out of my way, but I could pick you up at the Indio bus station if that helps at all.

Yay! Thank you. I'll look forward to the ride.

I'll be staying in a hotel right off the 60 on Central Ave. in Chino. (It's the outer range of walking-with-pack distance from the Ontario airport).

    Hey everyone!

Me (M/19) and two friends (F/18 both) are coming down from Santa Barbara. We have a companion pass but no car camping. If you were interested in keeping your car at home and catching a ride (and have a car camping spot), we will pick u up!

If not, we would love to camp with someone!!
Contributions: $100ish, a cool ass tent, healthy food that we are bringing, fun?

My friend and I are looking for a place to stay for weekend 2. Both Female, 20 years old. We obviously procrastinated and now all hotels are fully booked and we don't wanna spend $600 just for lodging. Anyone who could help us? Willing to pay and contribute food/drinks/ whatevs. Thank you!!

Plus, we are both first timers so we have no idea. We would highly appreciate if someone experienced would show us around and keep us company. Thanks again

Sorry, with the small number of camp spots and our guests we just don't have the room for campers who don't have camping passes this year. Also, this group is for Weekend 1.

Sounds like we have a pretty good consensus then... Let's aim to arrive around 9:30-10am. Once everyone arrives we can gather any extra supplies and hopefully be in line by 11.
