I just updated the list with some new comers to the group. We are going to keep the Procrastinators name, I will make some signs this week so we can find camp easily...we will have the updated list of the merged group shortly...we've been kinda lagging because of the weekend...well I have anyway. Everybody on the list should have my number, but if some people want to step up as moderators/organizers, that might help. So far it's just nightmare and I, but he will be coming to Coach later in the evening Thurs. If someone is coming earlier Thurs and would like to help out, please let me know.

I will step up and help, because I plan on arriving early Thursday. I'll be flying into LAX on Tuesday, so I'm going to anticipate getting all my stuff together early, because I'm kind of a nitpick when it comes to being prepared. Please. If there is anything the two groups feel like they are going to need like trap or anything, I will try to fly it into Cali with my luggage and being that I'm from Montana I have camping shit up the fuggin yin-yang.

ya, i have a tarp or two i can bring for shade,,, but what are people using to prop up their tarps? poles? im not flying a pole down from canada, but will bring the tarp as i'm sure it can be worked into some masterpieces of shade on our grounds.

As far as extra shade for a tent goes, how important is it? I've been reading that the early morning hours can be rough with the heat. Does it get windy therefore complicated to put a canopy over a tent or is it worth the extra effort? Never camped in the desert before so i'm open to suggestions!

Unless something is blocking the sun, the inside of a tent is uncomfortably warm by 7 AM.

Yeah, it gets windy. Yes, that means it can be complicated to keep a canopy up. Yes, it's worth it.
