did ambling alp make it to their top 100 tracks? i'm not sure if its elligible because its off a 2010 album, but still i think that should have made at least top 10.

The debut by Local Natives got a Best New Music.

I haven't heard much other than what's on their MySpace and I didn't really feel there was much unique or exciting about them that separates them from a lot of other indie rock bands. Has anybody heard the rest of the album and can say much better? They appear to have a lot of hype over in the U.K. which always makes me weary.
the yellow swans review is so bad... oh well. at least they gave it a good score.
But did you really expect Pitchfork to properly evaluate something like Yellow Swans?

Pitchfork used to have a couple of great reviewers who did some wonderful reviews of experimental albums and had great year end lists...
From the Fucked Up interview with Pink Eye:
Favorite Piece of Musical Equipment?
Coachella made us buy a microphone, because I ruined theirs with blood [laughs]. And I still have it in my room; it's such a perfect souvenir from that day. I really have no musical ability whatsoever. I can't play any instruments, but what I can do is bleed, and I think this is the ultimate testament to that.Strangest Display of Affection From a Fan
When we played Coachella, I was passing the mic to people in the crowd to sing along, and I was like, "What's sucking on my nipple?" And I looked down, and there was an older gentleman, looking up at me, smiling, and sucking on my nipple. I looked down to him and kept going on my way, because, you know, growing up fat you don't get a lot of random displays of affection. I'll take it where I can get it.

What the hell happened to Dominique Leone? I used to trust just about anything he put down.
To be honest, I don't get what is "so bad" about that Yellow Swans review. There's only so much you can say about abstract instrumental/noise/ambient music. A young'uns guide on Stars Of The Lid would probably be the dullest thing ever.
He's on the board but I'll leave it up to him if he wants to reveal himself.
It's not me, unfortunately.
Do it.
8.1 for Liars "Sisterworld". Best New Music tag, as well.

"In Stereo" is a joke btw.
