I think I need to change my Italian Do It Better release to Chromatics - Night Drive, but really it's a toss up. And I forgot Swans released albums before the reunion that were in that time frame.
I love the Kid Rock nod. I still enjoy that album.
Our lists are incredibly similar.
I need to check out Biosphere
I FORGOT ATDI!!!
My list
I am just starting mine. Has Aenima just not been listed yet? It doesn't come up when I search for Tool. It was released in Sept. '96 so it should qualify.

Same with The Score. Does every album album released in 1996 count?

We're here to play some Mississippi Delta Blues. We're in a horrible depression, and I gotta admit - we're starting to like it.
this is fun

That was hard
Yeah, I had to enter a bunch myself. I also noticed that M83's self-titled was oddly not in the database even though it was reviewed, but I've not found any other such glitches.

Man, that original cover art for the Moon and Antarctica is so terrible. Unless it is an elaborate Pink Floyd joke, in which case it is actually awesome. I had forgotten about it until we all started putting together these lists.
Staff lists
Cohen's list reminded me that I had forgotten Adore. Yes, I will defend it.
Adore is my favorite Smashing Pumpkins record. I still listen to it often.
5/11/12 - Cloud Cult - El Rey // 5/23/13 & 5/24/13 - Boris - Echoplex // 6/7/13 + 6/8/13 - Jubilee Music Festival
6/9/13 - Devo/GZA - Natural History Museum // 6/11/13 - Bjork - Hollywood Bowl // 6/21/13-6/23/13 - Solid Sound Music Festival - MASS MOCA

You really do. One of the most consistent electronic/ambient producers around, and one of my personal favorites. Substrata was kind of an arbitrary choice as any of his albums could stand in for it.
I finished mine. Stopped ranking somewhere in the 60s, and even then, pretty arbitrary obviously. I tried to keep additions outside of their "library" to a minimum, as this is more of the top albums covered by Pitchfork list more than anything, although I'm pretty sure everyone of my additions was reviewed by the site at one point. I tried to be as honest as possible in regards to including stuff that I actually actively listen to on the regular and am really intimately familiar with as opposed to albums I know are probably better but that I haven't invested as much in.
Of the staff lists, unsurprisingly, Brandon Stosuy is the most interesting. And I fuckin' love the man for putting Unwound as his favorite album from that period.
Oh shit, and I forgot Iran - The Moon Boys.
Edit: I just made a few changes to my list. It's getting there. Out with the Hold Steady, in with Jamey Johnson.
It is taking too long to move my albums around so I am saying fuck it, but albums 1-16 are set in stone.

Well if it wasn't rigged enough, right? Anyone want to compare the results to what P4k had readily available when you compiled your list? Just the stuff they had as suggestions. Its pretty much all of this. They knew what they were doing when attempting to make something look like ''the people'' voted for.
I really don't get Neutral Milk Hotel. Guy can't sing. I suppose this goes in hype thread. Massive Attack should be much higher.
