Acid Tongue is a good album. You assholes need to get over the fact that she was in that movie.
Hope you have a good time, Courtney.

is she related to Huey Lewis of And The News fame?
I was kind of on the fence with Jenny Lewis, but this track pretty much convinced me that I need to catch her set. If you're not sure you want to see her, check this out. It's pretty damn spectacular...

I <3 Jenny
The show tonight was unexpectedly good. The openers were from Jenny's band: lap steel guitarist Farmer Dave Scher and bassist Jonathan Wilson.
One of the best things about going to concerts in Hawaii is that due to the population being predominantly of asian-decent, I'm often one of the taller ones in the room. However for tonight's show, the room was shockingly pale, skinny, hipster-looking, and most of all notably tall.
Jenny herself and band are adorable. She is charming and has a great voice; many of the songs were pared down to their essentials. The small club atmosphere allowed her to focus on acoustic and more intimate material which was nice. The set list was largely from Acid Tongue and Rabbit Fur Coat with some Under the Blacklight thrown in. It should be noted that I hated the album Under the Blacklight (over-produced, too synthy, trying to hard for the pop audience), but the songs Under the Blacklight and Silver Lining were raw and appealing live without the rest of Rilo Kiley. Jenny and boyfriend/bandmate Jonathan Rice did an acoustic cover of Love Hurts which was cute.
The energy in the room was spot-on for the whole show. Jenny said at the end that Honolulu has been the best audience so far in the tour, and I believe it. So glad I attended. Although I was originally thinking about Jenny as a backup for Coachella, someone to see if nothing better is playing, tonight definitely notched her up a few points on the priority list. It will be interesting to see how her material fares in the festival setting, as so much of tonight's material thrived on the intimacy of a small venue.
Also, Jenny Lewis drinks Red Stripe. I would have pegged her as a whiskey girl.
Hey Courtney,
I was there tonight too!...what a show--perfect sound!!!
=)
Oh hi! Yeah it was soo good.
There were a couple of minor feedback issues towards the end, but I thought overall the sound was much superior to other shows I've seen recently at Pipeline. And plus Jenny has such a fabulous voice, she can really show it off in the live setting which is fun.
here is video from her Hawaii show i took

Woah, Hawaii represent. trentmorrison, you're either really tall or you were standing on the stairs up to the VIP section.
