I think most of those are theatre acts and comedians right? I don't think the music outside the headlines has been announced.

Menik is correct. Only three bands announced so far. Grace Jones is phenomenal live. Makes the pyramid look rather dull.

How can people say "that shit is terrible" to a list of authors and comedians etc that they are quite obviously not familiar with? Latitude is an amazing festival. Music is just one of the many things going on. Where else can you see the RSC doing Hamlet up a tree?

Yeah, this doesn't look like its failing at all. I'd say Pet Shop Boys is a good grab for a headliner, and I bet the rest of it will be awesome.

Few years ago, Latitude was looking like being the next big festival thing. Got some tremendous - if low budget - acts, gorgeous location etc. Friends of mine said it was the best festival they'd ever been to. That was only like... two years ago. What happened?

There's only been two so far, and there is still a lot to be announced for this year. I went last year for the first time and was amazed at the variety of stuff on offer there. I had serious jetlag, after just returnng from Australia the day befoe, but still had a wonderful festival. I imagine this year will be great. Just give it a bit of time.
