Lock my bag?

hey all!
I'm going to be bringing a backpack to coachella this year so i can keep my water bottle, camera, cell phone, and wallet inside. Since coachella is massive i dont want anything to get stolen.

I was wondering. Will security let me bring in one of the little TSA locks to put on my bag?
ill have it unlocked and ready for them to take a look inside if they want to at the gate, i just wanna keep it locked once im inside.

Is this something that sounds realistic?
or would bringing it be a waste of time?

i got one last year, im just wondering about if they'll let me in with a lock
id rather not have to go back and forth between the sahara or what have you and the front gate. Seems like a total time waster you know?
Id also like to keep a water bottle or two on me but not in my hand so that i dont have to fight the crowds when i want a drink.

all the times ive been at coachella ive never been worried about someone stealing anything of mine, but im a very paranoid person and would like to take some extra precautions just incase :P

no, i don't believe you won't have a problem. all the crap that people bring in, a lock would seem to be the least of security's worries. although, i had a hairbrush in 2007 that they almost took away on sunday because it "looked like a weapon". i made a joke and they let it slide. but you just never know with security.
